ah thanks! would the 105 stuff be 10/11/12 speed? current cassette is 10. my housemate may also have some 105 hang-me-downs if 11 speed cassette will fit in its place, tbd.
and yeh really sad... a rack of decapitated bikes - stem unscrewed and all the cables cut to take the bars off. local bike shop says they've seen it quite a bit recently round us (Hackney).

Hey,
sounds interesting @allister! would love to see pics and hear what you'd be after £s-wise...
@doubleodavey - it's actually a 650c I already have, on the front of lo-pro

Definitely "wanted" rather "needed", but this would be the final piece to properly finally finish a build.
Attached pic is the 'vintage' carbon aesthetic I currently have on the front, so looking for a match.
Also just interested in what advice on the relative scarcity / likelihood of finding such an item.
Tx! and happy holidays!

much indebted to lots of folks on the forum for bits, tools, advice on this lockdown project ─ with special mentions to @VeloSurMer for the frame almost a year ago now, and @ectoplasmosis for the crucial headset pressing 🙏🙏
first time i've built up from more-or-less scratch and has been many months in the still feels like a work in progress so any thoughts on where to go from here very welcome.
would be espesh keen to hear if anyone has suggestions for what to do with the cable routing, or knows where i can source more tyres to match the golden Tufo front... which is only hanging in thanks to recent injection of gunky stuff. also i kinda want to lose the HED decal, is that allowed?
in terms of the ride, it's great. light + fast + a just a little bit twitchy in the wind. though if anything the drop is not quite as mental feeling as i thought it might be. almost a little disappointing. but no loving its day-to-day rideability :)

hey @horatioeastwood did you find a taker for these or still going?
i'm in hackney so could pickup easy. i don't know anything about car-rack fit though so would be great to know why they didn't work for you?

I have an old bike running what I'm pretty sure is one of these:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/brakes/diacompe-brs101-front-track-frame-brake-25-mm-clamp-fitting-silver/
But managed to stupidly lose one of the [little bracket-y feet things that go in between the yoke mounting plate and the band clamps that go round the fork itself]. If anyone knows what they're called that would be a great start! I'll call it a "foot" for now.
Frustratingly the band clamp things seem to be 5 quid each to replace, but I can't see anywhere selling "feet" separately. Indeed the only option I can see is this complete set with a caliper as well, what I don't need.
Anyone got a lost one kicking around?
Alternative LBS offered to drill the fork for less than that set. Should I just go for that? It feels out of keeping with the spirit of the build, but cuts out bits to lose I suppose...
