Very sensible!
Suggestions:
Route from bury to Ipswich looks nice, Maglia Rosso cycling cafe is worth a look if you go past.
Ipswich gets a bad rap but loads of accommodation and some good pubs. The Fat Cat or The Spread Eagle both good.
Make sure the Felixstowe ferry is running before you set off. If not, going via Woodbridge is nice enough.
Southwold will make a nice stop with loads of places to stay and eat. Might be pricey. Adnams pubs a plenty.
Lowestoft is pretty grim and I’d avoid. It does have a good pub the Stanford Arms.
St Peter’s brewery is worth a stop. Also Grain as mentioned, it does open tap days at the brewery in Alburgh sometimes. Ampersand brewery is excellent and has an owned pub (the Cap) in Harleston, and a brewery tap slightly off route in Diss.
Botesdale is a small village with a couple of pubs and that’s about it. But not many other logical stops in that area - Eye or Diss both a bit bigger and would be possible options.
Distances all look sensible, it’s pretty flat and the roads are mostly super quiet. Enjoy!

Watching with interest! Have just built one of these up, thought I’d share a pic so you can see what tanwalls look like on it - these are 38 Gravelking SKs (I like them but puncture prone, tubeless seems to have solved).
Very random component mix as transferred from another frame. I think silver is the way to go with the mint frame.
Enjoy the build!

Brother All Day frame, 60cm - white with pink and blue spatter paint job.
This is cracked at the NDS chainstay as per picture - paint has been sanded back and unfortunately confirmed a hairline crack. Otherwise in good condition. Includes a blue FSA headset and the forks which are fine (have both canti and standard brake fittings)
Brother have been good eggs and sorted me out a replacement, wondered if anyone would be interested in this frame for say £40 plus postage? This would allow me to purchase a new headset and send Brother a couple of beers to say ta.
Options would be:
1) ignore and ride - NOT ADVISED. but I have likely been riding it round like this for months…
2) weld the crack - opinion divided online as to whether this is a good fix or not
3) replace the stay - Argos were quoting £140 for this.I’m based in Norfolk but travel to Cambridge occasionally if anyone wanted to view.

Swrve 3/4 length shorts, black. 34” just a bit too small for me (normally between a 34 and 36). Good condition, a bit of discolouration to the seat (from a brooks saddle I think) and stitching a bit lose in one spot per picture - should be an easy fix. Otherwise a really solid good quality pair of shorts. £20 posted.

Have watched the HDiJ threads for the last few years but date / location never quite worked to join. This would be on my side of London and on a clear weekend - in, if you’re happy with a new face joining?
