Have had a few good finds this year(very slow at work) but this one is by far the best. Walked into an op shop and the door to the back was open. Saw the manager throwing a La pavoni lever pull into the skip😱. Asked about it and he said that their in house electrician had checked it and it wasn't earthed and needed a new plug so was deemed not worth the effort to figure out what was going on to then sell. Manager said that I can have it for free as long as I accepted responsibility.
Both super easy fixes but it did also need a new seal kit which thankfully a shop down the road had in stock.

Cheers! First rear rack that I've made and it came together ok.
It just survived a 1500km bikepacking trip down the south island of NZ without any problems, so happy about that.

I'm after something to go over some Didymium glass blowing glasses that I picked up. There's a few clip on ones but the style like yours might be better.

Yeah, I had thought of that but also thought it might exaggerate the misaligned mounts when looking down at the rack.
Definitely would have been easier though.

Thanks! Found using the slide table really handy to do the set up for getting the position right for the struts. The cage mounts on the fork were put in by a friend years ago and let's just say that he might have been in a rush, made getting the angles a little tricky.

Hmm, photos are a bit backwards, but you get the idea. Mounts off anything cage mounts and to a star nut that's installed in bottom of steerer.
And here's the intended use, carrying some beer and chippies/crisps.

Have been meaning to build a rack for the waltworks for a while and finally got around to it.
Still need to do a bit of clean up and paint, but works for what I want it for.

Thinking I might just change name of this thread to my current projects, as the pro tour has hit snags.

Recently swapped running gear on waltworks to 10 speed xtr. Was going to use a MTB vbc rings that I have but the Phil bb that I thought was going to work wasn't wide enough so went 1x with this bash guard ring that I've had lying around. Gearing is perfect for the very local trails between home and my garage.

Saw this on various FB groups, so crazy that it was going free. Almost impossible to even find them for sale down here in NZ.

I'm pretty sure the bars are are Nitto noodle. Shape is nice and they seem to work well with the more modern shifters/brakes.

Got it up on the table with some friends help, fine feed doesn't seem to engage but turns on and doesn't explode. Will give it a bit of a year down to see what's going on.

Slowly getting there on this build, got pretty waylaid with setting up some new work bikes and just general life shit. There's a bunch of things I already need to change but it was nice to at least go for a ride around the block in it. Crazily the first time I've ever ridden it since owning the frame for maybe close to 10 years?

Big delay in reply but what collet holder are you using for this? I have a Long Chang LC-15a that's been sitting half on the ground for the last year but will be getting it all together this weekend. Plan is to use it with the paragon holesaw Arbors for doing miters.

Hi, can anyone confirm if the omnium kickstand is the same as the ergotec double flex 3 that used to come spec'd on the tern gsd?
Have used both and they seem to be the same design.
We've had a free supply of ones that have come off gsd's, but we keep snapping them and the supply is starting to dry up.
If they are indeed the same, then I'll just order more of the ergotecs, as there is a distributor for tern down here in NZ and will be much faster than ordering from the omnium website.
Alternatively, has anyone found a better kickstand that will work with an omnium?

I picked up the auction that I won. Turns out the bender that I wanted has the most dies, which is nice. Unfortunately no handle though, so will need to sort that and a base so that I can either mount it on a stand, or in a vice.
Only thing I could out about it was this flyer from 1947.
