CCC at least have GVA who will get results and from reports they will build the team going forward. If Katusha sign Sam Bennett the same for them.
DD signed Valgren and has so far been a complete flop. The days of Renshaw leading out Cav seem a thing of the past. They need a long term plan.

Even without Cav, DD seem to be a team having to carry each other.
If you look at their roster i can't see where a win is coming from. Nizzolo maybe but only if other sprinters don't turn up.

Giro Podium should be Roglic, Yates and Dumoulin(Not necesarily in that order). Too many TT km's for Lopez to feature in the top 3 but Astana have pulled average GC riders to titles in the past. I agree with never writing off Nibali as many did in 2016 when Kruijswijk looked to have wrapped it up but feel he'll be targeting stages.
Should be some exciting racing, good list of in form sprinters and plenty of GC and breakaway specialists to mix it up.

I've been considering this reacently, how many Pro riders would stick by their morals/values when it comes to employment and where the money comes from. For example after the failure of Aquablue and so many riders out of a job would any of them have turned down a place at Bharain Merida because of the state's Human rights record?

With most of the teams sponsored by companies or states that have a questionable records do all riders loose their ability to have personal values and morals

You'd thought with the millions they're throwing at the team the could've used a few quid designing a better kit.
Not saying I like the Total Direct Energie Kit but it's a change from the original Direct Energie. New name, new kit.
Struggle to see any difference with this and looks like it was done on the cheap.

GVA's downfall has been missing all the key moves and having a pretty average team. He's always appeared to be on his own pulling the peloton to catch the lead group. His form looked good just not his tactics/timing.

Maybe he wanted a team less in the spotlight

If Valgren doesn't perform in the Ardennes then can't see where their wins will come from.
Judging by his current form they could be disappointed.

In other news good win for Sam Bennett yesterday against some quality opposition. With his improved climbing could easily bag another 2 or 3 stages.

Responding with results to show his team what they'll be missing by not having him in their Giro squad.

His results there are pretty consistent and better than other 'favourites'.
However he'd not be top of my list of people i'd want to win Roubaix

With the Pro season in full swing, Mitch Docker's 'Life in the Peloton is excellent.
Brilliant insight into pro cyclists lives, Mitch has a good raport with most of the interviewees and all come across as fairly down to earth guys (and Girls) doing an amazing but at times mundane job. Favourites are Adam Hansen talking about Diet & nutrition and Michael Woods after his Vuelta stage win.

Great day of racing all round.
Excellent result for Kristoff especially considering who else was in the pack, Dege salvaged something for Trek. Breaks, attacks had it all. Good to see Luke Rowe having a go too and looks to be riding well this season.

Shame Yates couldn't hold on but took it to them and brought the race to life.

Peaked for Willunga Hill now tapering off for next season
