Yeah, swifts are amazing. We don't get them where I am, but we were in mid-Wales a couple of years ago, went to Strata Florida and there was a gang of them flying around the ruins screaming.

OPL! That's quite random. I remember someone from Nokia once telling me he liked OPL because there was a Finnish band called "Opel Bastards" who had to change their name to "OPL Bastards" because the Opel car company threatened to sue them.

Walked round the park in the rain today while the children were at circus school. Spent a bit of time trying to photograph Golden-Crowned Kinglets, which AFAICT look exactly like Goldcrests but are apparently a different species. Fun to photograph because they will come quite close to you but never stop moving, so got lots of pictures of damp branches, but a couple I liked:
