Yeah one thing I have learned by now is - if it sounds like it could be the battery, it's the bloody battery. No matter how old or young it is. Even if the battery is theoretically new it is still likely to be the battery rather than anything else.
Of course, there is then the chance of something else being the cause for the battery going flat so quickly, like a broken reg/rec system or something. But in general, replace the battery and ride on.

Cheers, I found an online source for a replacement key that is also promising to send me the key code, should be fine.
On a different note, electronics still hate me and I still hate electronics. Two motorcycles I've bought in my life so far, and twice the indicator relay failed within like two weeks. Yes, it's one of the cheapest* and easiest things to fix but regardless, come the fuck on.
*if you buy it online, that is. The garage closeby quoted me almost 40 quid, online it's 13. I mean...

Anyone got experience with getting an old motorcycle key (without transponder or any of the fancy shit) duplicated? Got two keys with my bike, one of them (the "backup" one) works fine and the other one sticks a lot so I'm assuming it's pretty worn. Any recommendation with regards to a specific key cutting service or something in London?

There is an argument to be made that while it's certainly worth trying, ultimately no amount of protection is going to save you from the very worst accidents - but sliding protection will make the much more common "small" accidents like lowsides without involvement of a 3rd party much less painful and save you from a having to nurse large patches of skin back to health over the course of many weeks.

Fucking depressing that even "the left" in this country seems to be dominated by anti trans sentiments.
