I'll make some steaks from it, with rice and steamed broccoli. Got inspired by some of the watermelon roast recipes. The marinade is random mix of vegan fish sauce and soy sauce, spices, coconut sugar. First mistake, I did marinate it already in the shape of stakes. It reduces the water and sort of washes of the spices from it. still got to soak some of the flavours into the "flesh"

I usually make "tuna" from Jackfruit. Boil it for some time with fish seasoning and see weed(wakame), then add the seasoning and nori cut into tiny pieces to the mayo.
This was for a quid in Asda so felt like trying something new. Now it put me off of trying things again and rather will make them myself. Currently marinating watermelon ( was for a quid in my local veg store:D)

This was probably the worst meat substitute I ever tried. Left tin of cats food, right "tuna". It didn't have strong flavour but very bad, like said above very "meh". As much as I don't like food waste I did put the tin onto the bin.

Hi cat people of lfgss,
I've been scrolling through this thread for a while, however never posted pics of the beats i live with called Fluffy.
I met this little fluffy fella three years ago when i moved to cable st where he was born and bread. He grew up in the bike workshop which used to be there and through the people form around I got to know about lfgss and got more into cycling and such.
Situation changed, we had to leave and so Fluffy moved with me :)

Unfortunately Fluffy got very ill recently and had to be hospitalised, operated and had a long and stressful recovery. I didn't have an insurance for him as I never actually intended to have a pet and just didn't think of it. I set a fundraiser to try cover at least a bit of the expenses. I thought I'd try to share it here as well. Any donations or shares will be very appreciated .
