If that is the orangey red one I'm glad someone got it - I was offered it at an eye watering price but alas already had my own going strong
Thanks @Chopsicle for the repairs yet again - you folks introduced me to the HHV track nights and got chatting to their folks and possibly converted

My experience of Eurostar -
https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-info/travel-planning/luggage/bikes
London to Lille (the same line as to Brussels)
Booked on Trainline, assumed I added my bike and checked with 9 days to go. Trainline said it's Eurostars problem, Eurostar said it's trainline's problem. Eurostar eventually says they will organise it
They say that folded bikes are fine, and I can break my bike down, but upon further checking refuse to allow the bike even fully disassembled in a bag - no bikes allowed to Lille at all.
Had to postpone the ticket for some rainy day and book a last minute (cheaper) budget flightBrussels to London
I booked a £70 ticket 30 days ago and asked to book a bike for another £45 at the same time. They took 2 weeks to respond, saying that my specific timeslot and train does not take bikes and I would need to change - to a train now twice as expensive.
Bikes were supposed to be allowed fully assembled. I was forced to remove all my bikepacking bags including daisy chained/laced frame bag and handlebar roll and carry them and my rear pack around the terminal and train. In summary - I'm not sure if I would overland to/from UK again. The cycling parts were relatively fun and worthwhile. But the necessary legs of public transport - costly, stressful, risky - I saw hordes of F1 fans in Barcelona wearing oil company merch, pissing any effect of mine in the wind

I had two Wahoo roams fail pathetically (minor slips destroyed both backplates, and one screen was dying without any trigger)
Their routing/phone integration is extremely laggy to the point that route replans take 30 minutes from phone sync to hit the unitI'm now team Hammerhead as even on ultras I use only about 70% battery a day and can keep on top of that
-
Been dotwatching HMR and HT550
Alex had a silly lead on the HT that's getting pegged back, wondering if it'll be a no sleep run. Was also following El Jaskowska and surprised the Tailfin roll failed spectacularly
on the HMR I've never heard of Floris (who has 4 followers on IG) but he's also got a bit of a gap up front

Yeah, in their defense the PCB and USB charging section is replaceable (although would not want it to fail mid expedition) - but I don't know why they didn't just have a rubber grommet/door also
For my use hopefully it wouldn't matter as I'd run it above a handlebar roll taking up most of the spray, either on the stem mounts or a DrJ0n mission deck
Tbh I've just talked myself round into keeping the Supernova set above. I'll just Son Coax junction box it and have supplementary battery lights
-
Lots of mixed feedback to its release but no real reviews yet - The Igaro peeps have been pretty responsive to me but there are some weird quirks positive and negative
Rain cover for the USB ports doesn't work if lying the bike sideways overnight or riding without fenders
No manual switches
A pretty janky aesthetic...
Also it's £420 without mounts :DThe draw however is it conceivably has really good if not market leading lighting characteristics and USB charging quality in one package

fwiw I'm about to flog a NIB Supernova E3 Pro 2 + E3 Rack Rear combo for I dunno, £120
Looking new for myself, I'm between a Sinewave Beacon and Igaro C1, possibly Caminade Llum if I were in EU.
I want something that can be totally toggled off for day riding efficiency and forgoes the need for a USB converter. At the end of the day supposedly all the dynamo lights are maxing out circa 800 lumens even if rated higher, as the LEDs/hub draw can't supply more even at high speeds. So I'll supplement with a battery light for descents
-
No problem, another thought I had - a lot of these roads will be a bit/quite annoying as cars behind will be looking for you to stop and on the singletrack bits (a radar light helps a lot), incoming cars also often ignore the passing place etiquette and expect you to stop on the side of the road as they bulldoze past - that said I've not done the Kilchoan/Ardvasar section and basing this off Mull west, and Tayvallich to Oban.
Craignure to Tobermory is at least double lane roads so lots of overtake room and you can just do your thing -

Bit late to this, but whilst around Loch Voil (or potentially extend you stay there)
-Callander pies and bakes from Mhor/Susans
-Thursday evening trad sesh in Taybank, Dunkeld (if not a whole day chilling in the towns cafe)
-Fortingall Inn Friday rhythm & blues sesh - they've consistently let me camp on their grounds and have a great breakfast
-Ballechin/Edradour distillery if open(If) you were cycling, after that I'd take Glen Tilt (From Blair Athol to Braemar) and work my way towards the coast at Aberdeen
an alt coastal (car) tour would be the gems of Fife
-Sessions in Crail or (shudder) St Andrews
-Every single East Neuk village, the tidal pool morning swims
-Kinneuchar Inn/The Dory blowaway food
-Falkirk cafes
-Bowhouse weekend marketsI've just come from all of Mull/Arran/Jura/Islay this week - they'll be heaving if summer, will need car/ferry reservations and get a bit midgey

Reposting my previous X-Pro 3 listing with marginally better pics and price dropped significantly:
Plan to go film/phone for a while to eventually buy in a few generations, and work has fallen through, so got my Fuji X-Pro 3 for sale - a recent warranty replacement so NIB apart from the 4 shutter actuations to check everything was fine, as new
Absolute beast on the bike for its weather reliability - before the replacement (for cable issues), the camera survived rain and multiple crashes
All lenses in excellent conditionFuji X-Pro 3 Body w/ extra batteries - £1200 -> £1100 -> £1000
Fuji XF 35mm f2 R WR Lens - £225
Fuji XF 27mm f/2.8 R (WR model) - £360
Fuji XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens - £350
Samyang 12mm F2 f/2 Fuji X Mount Lens - £120Currently in SE26

Did a touch more digging - so if in principle I think I'd be snipping the lights connectors off the XT30 kLite switch bundle, then just rewiring the loose ends to the Supernova lights or a spade connector?
Not sure if you have any experience of the kit as the one remaining doubt I have, is if the wires are different gauges/resistances or standard?
-
Recently pretty impressed by Lewes/Battle/Rye - in via Tunbridge trains and out via Hastings, wish I knew how quaint a lot of bits in reach of London were as a kid - lots of other Sussex villages around there (steep, but can break it up and I never tried to follow the valleys)
For flatter, could try up by Orford and the coast, then around Norfolk there's quiet albeit muddy old train lines
-
Ah right - so as long as I strip and resolder the terminals to the correct supernova/Igaro connectors, I should be fine with the wiring otherwise?
Followup question - if I have the 'Always on' form of the bar switch and toggle my lights off, will I lose cycling watts if the USB converter is charging nothing?
-
I'm finally building a dynamo setup cobbled together with Supernova F+R lights and a Son 28 dynamo I got years before.
Is there anything like a kLite bar switch that's brand agnostic, or any electrical reason why I can't use it with Supernova lights and an Igaro USB converter? As their webpages say it's kLite Light specific..
Hey folks - piggybacking this thread for some non-ebay consumer advice if possible as just been screwed out of a few hundred £ by what should be a reliable website
TLDR below.
Ordered off Tradeinn back in February 2024 for some Sram AXS GX, stem and assorted parts (tubes, ski poles etc)
Part gets delayed innumerable times to June despite automated and support promising various earlier delivery dates
Tradeinn refused to part dispatch the parcel without the GX parts, so I eventually had to cancel it and buy it more expensive elsewhere in order to release the parts and get the bike built, however due to the package's delay, I was out the country and had to have the parcel sent to my bike shop (which is a one man band that I trust)
The entire Royal Mail package arrived with large tears in the outer cardboard box and poorly re-bagged bin bag style, and my mechanic reported items missing but couldn't tell what amongst it all as there was no packing list.
When I arrived back to him a week later, I tallied the parts and reported it to Tradeinn which took 2 weeks to reply.
I then got a request from them out of the blue that I had submit numerous pieces of evidence within 48 hours or they would not fill out a damage claim, and received this email, and had received this email after being I was out of signal and data service for a week.
Nonetheless after providing information, they did not respond for 6 weeks and they've just voided my claim for not declining the parcel on arrival and/or reporting items missing it within 3 days of receiving.
This is all their fault and not feasible as:
They delayed the parcel therefore I could not receive it directly and had to divert it to the shop
I needed essential parts inside the parcel and I couldn't that tell items would be missing
Their stated rule to decline the parcel (if damaged) is not feasible to find out at the point of delivery
The 3 day rule is not stated anywhere.
TLDR
Parcel arrived extremely damaged to my bike mechanic with many items missing, but Tradeinn voided my claim and any responsibility as they claim I should have declined the parcel and reported it within 3 days despite having delayed the parcel themselves for several months.
As Tradeinn allow you to add parts to the order - I've paid this in around 6 transactions, mostly paypal, dating back from February, do I have any recourse through them?
