I've used this as a commuter for a while and love the ride but sadly I'm leaving the country so it has to go.
There are a few scratches and a very few small chips on the paintwork but no dents.
Has the space to fit full-length mudguards which would make it perfect as a year-round commuter. I've also got some Shimano long-drop brakes somewhere which have hardly been used - I can include them for £30 for the pair.

Let me know if this is the wrong place to post this.
I was cleaning my Genesis Equilibrium frame earlier to take some photos for posting it on the forum and came across this dent on the seat stay. I have no idea when or how it happened - tbh it could even have been there when I bought it used.
Is the bike safe to ride? And would it seriously affect the value?
Thanks in advance

I've had my handlebars along with stem and Shimano Sora shifters stolen from the bike racks outside The Castle Climbing Centre in Stoke Newington tonight. The thief snipped all of the cables and unscrewed the stem bolt. When I reported it to the staff at reception, they said I was the second person today.
Now, on Sunday last week, while unlocking my bike at the exact same spot, I saw a couple who'd both had their handlebars stolen. So that's four identical thefts that I'm aware of in the last ten days from the very same spot, and I only know about the couple because I happened to be there at the same time.
When I asked the manager at The Castle how many times this has happened in the last couple of weeks she refused to say, but it looks like someone is systematically targeting these bike racks. According to the manager, they have CCTV of the thefts but the police don't even ask for it and close each case without investigating (nonetheless I've still reported it online).
What to do?

Bought this Dawes Impulse from @clevermuscle exactly one month ago as a commuter / starter bike.
Then on Monday night a car pulls across the cycle superhighway in Whitechapel leaving me nowhere to go except splat into his front door. The down tube has buckled so the frame is a write-off, along with the handlebars. Miraculously everything else survived (the guys at Paradise Cycles were incredibly helpful in checking the bike out).
While I struggle to extract some cash from Abdul (almost certainly not his real name) I'm eager to get back on the road with a similar frame. Equally I'd be grateful for any advice on where I might source one and how much I should expect to pay. I'm probably willing to pay up for something pretty in decent condition.
Hi, yes it is.
