Good morning, has any one on here tried the Second City Divide? https://www.secondcitydivide.cc/
Can't see any posts about if but I have thought someone has some experience of it.
I'm looking at doing it May, Ive found people doing it in 5 days but I'm thinking of doing it in 4. (albeit to Wigan)
My rough plan is: I don't know if average KPH is wildly optimistic or not.
Day 1 Glasgow (Leave at 11:00 am) to Bothy @ Talla Linnfoots 130km
Night 1 Bothy 130km
9 hours cycling @ 15 kphFood - Abington General Store 96 km
Day two Bothy to Alston - 170km
10 hours at 17 kph
Night 2 Hostel 300km
https://alstonyouthhostel.co.uk/contact-us/Maybe Food - Church hall at 210 km
Emergency food at pull off at 211 km down to NewcastletonFood: Haltwhistle 280km Alston 300 km
Day 3 Alston to Ingleton - 136km
10 hours at 14 kph
Night 3 Ingleton 436 km

10 hours at 14 kph
Colne = 500kmThought very much appreciated (or pointers to somewhere better to ask for advice)

Looks like tomorrow could be another interesting day.

I would avoid tow paths for leisure activities if at all possible.
They are very narrow in places and it is impossible to keep the recommend safe distances.
There are quite a few signs up from boaters asking people to only use the tow path for access to boats.
I would normally run along the tow path but started running on streets. The pavements are wider and much quieter. Also +1 for the Cobble monster route.

Very much open to any ideas. Trains back in should be fairly quiet, maybe we should pack a train disinfection kit.
