I don't live in the UK, so can't really comment on where to get one, sorry. (When I bought mine, I had to import it from Germany as the Swiss importer didn't carry it either). Will grab a picture next time I'm out with it, currently mainly using my Omnium.
Yes, I've been running one as my commuter for the past 2.5ish years. Overall really happy with it, handling gets rather nervous with a lot of weight added to the front (to be expected, although a bit more than with an Omnium Mini).
I've set up 2 bikes for friends like that - works completely fine, chain length needs to be fairly on point though. (I myself run an 11-42 with a medium cage rival rd, that's a bit sketchier)
Can't really comment on it's durability for regular road riding (although I don't see why it wouldn't), but I once owned a similar frame, although without the tiny seatstays.
in theory very helpful (esp. the Finnish stuff), but I've already ordered some road cruisers for 15€ each, can't really beat that for something that mainly has to be cheap.
