to any moderators out there.. not sure why this has had no views? maybe i'm doing something wrong?
edit. my bad, i can see the views now. perhaps no interest on here ..
another update. campag drive train will mostly stay; RD, FD, chain and cassette. can also provide the chain rings (T.A. Specialities, and campag) i will just keep the cranks. -
This coming up very soon, based in Lancaster.
Ricci Audax Frame
Tig welded Columbus SL tubing. According to Ricci Cycles in Redruth the frame would have been made by either basso or Bataglin.
Top Tube 57 ccc
Seat tube 58 ccc
head tube 17Some parts will be swapped out as I migrate them, so,
- bars will be swapped with vintage Italmanubri 44cm drops
- wheels will be swapped with basic Mavic MA3 rims and basic campag hubs (both 36h i think)
- I'll keep the Nitto rack
- I'll keep the mudguards
- I'll keep current campag drivetrain, shifters. Can provide Shimano Deore rear derailleur, Deore cranks and 8spd cassette if needed.
- can discuss the tyres if needed, they are still pretty new Vittoria Rubino pro.
I bought this on here i think around 2017, and its been great ever since. Just wanting to downscale a little.
looking for £360
(can deliver nearby-ish to Lancashire / Yorkshire)i also have some other parts/bags/panniers etc here.

Hello,
I've been trying to clearcut things, and in a rough patch needing to seek out some income. Sometimes i make paintings. I have this rather dark one of a helmeted bike rider. Would anyone be interested? It's thin oil paint (i think, was made about 3ish years ago) on a thick black gesso ground, on aluminium diabond board and 29x22cm.
maybe 60 quid, or name a price ?all best, R

Hi, anyone any experience with Nitto M18 racks?
Or similar Randonneur racks?
I just got a Nitto M18 but really struggling to find appropriate/safest bag/luggage to fit - 5kg rating.I've come across Roswheel trunk bag (8L), and a trunk bag from Mirider (10L)
both i think too big for the rack, and could potentially go over weight.I've also seen Carradice barleys and Giles Berhouds on this type of rack - they're ok but respectively not easy to carry around, expensive... etc
If i can, i would prefer to avoid using a Wald basket, but might take up that option later for other kinds of cycling.
Want something ideally to take off and on regularly, commuter style, but that can actually fit anything from groceries to equipment, and potentially bike packing one-night stay stuff. So wondering if just a lashed dry-bag is my best option.
I've a 2000's addax road bike, drop bars, normal caliper brakes .. not all that audaxy. Also, i would be really interested to hear if anyone has any info on front racks safety precautions or things to avoid, other than the obvious. Recently been reading about front racks that use the fork brake centre hole and front fork dropout brazes or p-clipped to fork legs (3 point) being at risk of failing, mainly at the tang to brake, locking front wheel.
To prevent this I'm getting a 'manny' strap that connects the tombstone of the Nitto with the handlebars. I haven't had to modify/bend my Nitto M18 tang other tan use a spacer to avoid the headset.Related is i wonder if anyone has heard of/had experience of foreign object getting in way of the Nitto M18/Randonneur long stays (from dropout to rack) and wheel, causing an accident. I only ask because this happened to me recently with SKS Bluemels. An accident i definitely don't want to repeat (i did have the SKS safety stay things - wheel still locked up ):
really appreciate any thoughts.

Hello,
I've had this frame and forks since 2013, the seat post was realised seized around 2016/17. Having tried exhausted most of all the known methods, i recently used the caustic soda method which worked very well, however unfortunately there was some paint loss.
As you can see a new post now goes in well and good, and the frame is sound; perhaps ideal for a respray, or dry weather old racer/eroica build.
pearl and blue colour
I think Columbus SL tubing
It is stamped 58, but 56cm c-c, with 56cm c-c top tube.
Included is the Stronglight A9 headset with one spare bearing.
Also included is the Tifosi BB that i previously used, no issues with that.
I feel i have to apologise for the paint loss, i'm glad though it's now a functioning frame again.
If anyone is interested, the attached reflective decals used to say 'Piet Nizet'.
the rear dropout is 130mm, which has been mentioned previously that this frame may have originally had 126 or 120 mm dropout width.
Based in Glasgow, happy to post - i have a bike box adapted for the frame.

That route you mentioned is something i do every now and again, those lanes after the reservoir are great.
I gave up the single speed ages ago, so just gears for me.hope next week works out,

Hey, i messaged on here a while ago about meeting for rides, but i guess my masters course got the better of me and took up all my time.
anyway, now i'm free, i'd be still up for any coffee rides or going on some different routes from the southside if anyone else is interested...Also, I'm selling some cheap road wheels on the forum if anyone is interested. Would be handy if anyone in Glasgow was looking. Bontrager Selects with 10 speed Shimano cassette and michelin dynamic sports 23mm if you would like them. 60£
