I’ve just used it for a 5k and am now on a 10k programme. I like the simplicity of it - you set it up in a minute and then just do what you’re told for a couple of months - handy for someone with little discipline to stick to sensible runs.
This thread gives a review of the different coach options.

I need a half link for a SRAM PC1 chain and foolishly thought I could use any 1/2 x 1/8 one. What can I safely use? Would this one in Condor work?

He didn’t seem to be complaining much in the quotes in l’equipe.
The comments seem to be surprisingly pro-Tom also.

Do you need them to be off the ground? If not, we’ve got ours standing vertically with the front wheels held in Clugs (or whatever they’re called now). It puts almost no stress on the wall. I screwed some small blocks of batten to the floor to keep the back tyres a few inches away from the paintwork.

I’ve got a barely flowing bath / shower mixer (Grohtherm 2000 - about 10 years old, fed from a combi boiler). Almost nothing coming from either the hot or the cold.
There’s plenty of pressure going to the basin in the same room and it was fine to the bath before it went wrong.
I’ve just replaced the thermostatic valve but no change.
Given it’s both hot and cold, what else could it be? An airlock?

I’m putting a digital thermometer in there every few hours and adding a little heat when it reads below 20 - back up to about 25.
Maybe it’s a time of year thing, as @ChasnotRobert says.

@branwen - yes, am going to try bottled water for that reason
@ChasnotRobert - I’m keeping it between 20 and 25 degrees most of the time (in the oven) but yes, it is only in winter I’ve not been able to get one to work

Had to ditch my old starter. Why can’t I get a new one to work?
Day 1: 60g wholewheat bread flour, 60g water (boiled and cooled)
Day 2: smells good, signs of activity
Day 3: feed with 60g white bread flour, 60g water. Goes bananas almost straight away. Doubles in size, loads of air, before collapsing after about 10 hours. Fed same again. Much less activity.
Day 4, 5, 6…. Discard all but 30g and feed with another 60g white, 60g water. No growth, a few bubbles, double cream thickness, a little liquid on top.
Was told to stick with it but gave up after 12 days and no change. It’s in a jar with a loose lid, kept between 20 and 25 degrees.
I’ve tried maybe five or six times now. Any tips?

I need to level some uneven floor joists before putting down engineered oak T&G boards.
I’ve packed under the ends but they’re old and no longer straight so need some sort of levelling on top. I’ll do the fine tuning with some plastic packers, but need something to even out the bigger ups and downs.
Is it practical to cut thin tapered shims with a circular saw, or can you buy such things? I’m looking at about 5-10mm over a metre.

Had one of these yesterday. Will be having more.
