Just for anyone seeing this Big Dummy last minute and rushing a bid … take a look at the top tube dents. It’s been around on marketplace etc since early summer and expect the dents have scared a few off.
I’ve got no engineering knowledge as to whether the damage is a structural concern, but thought it worth pointing out.
Kid Corral and centre stand worth a chunk of the opening price though!

Hey all … any recommendation for 26x2.0 (or slightly slimmer) for mainly road with the odd gravelly section?
Currently on Marathon Supreme 26x2.0, but the very rounded and tread free ‘shoulders’ don’t inspire confidence cornering on the rough stuff when damp.
I’ve used René Herse tyres and liked the file tread, but had bad experience puncture-wise on autumn country roads. I know there is an endurance casing, but there seems to be a jump from 1.8” to 2.3” for those.
Looking back I can see Vittoria revolution mentioned in 26.2.0… though pretty heavy?

I’ve got the metal discs, yep. I know what you mean about ‘bite’, maybe I’ll give it a try. I’m using a Jones bar and the angles don’t work well for hosting then reaching the extra brake lever. Thanks!

If you don’t mind me asking re. the Big Dummy, I’m interested how the dropper lever works with the Rolling Jackass, as the extra brake lever on mine isn’t great looking, but certainly needs a decent ‘pull’ to flip the stand and I’m not sure my thumbs would have the equivalent push.

Pretty spectacular oleander hawk-moth spotted on the Isle of Wight today. It was fairly high on a cliff so couldn’t add much to the zoomed photo for scale, but it was chunky.

Seems like good value, for the ‘SL’ frame. Looks a large size, I think you’d need to translate that 21” seat tube into metric then consult an old Moots brochure to get the proper size

You bought the tandem from me @Skülly and I still miss it - you did a wonderful job with it. And you dropped a Roberts frame with Winston which due to lockdowns I lost track of and might still be there!
I got the Tandem on eBay in 2016 (ish) and I recall from Kent-way. Had been stored outside.

I’ve had a dispatch notice (I assume for the xt mech), but from Orange Bikes… so it looks like this might be their outlet.

I think I nabbed one earlier. Will report back as to whether the sale is cancelled or actually delivered.
Now to find a shifter, cables, battery and frame to hang it off.
Good deal for a spare/alternative to my grx at that price though.

I do actually have a spare pair in the raw finish, from about 2011. As I fitted a pair made by @M_V (and very nice they are too)
I was going to keep as spares but happy to help someone stay on the road.

I have a very, very well-used (look at that middle ring) Centaur 10-speed triple set up as pictured (175mm). I’ve not been able to remove the spd’s, but haven’t soaked or used a vice.
I took it to a jumble but it wasn’t well-attended and didn’t sell, set at £28(!) pretty much based on the front mech value. It didn’t sell so I was going to gut the shifters for single speed etc.
But if you’ve got a use for it..?
