That medieval wizard, driven to distraction by "Elec-trickery" and the "telling-bone"! He was one of those faces back then that popped up everywhere - Pinewood films, Hammer horrors, Sidney Poitier films, TV shows like Danger Man, The Avengers, comedies, dramas. Great face, great voice, great character actor.

You'd find a buyer through the Veteran Cycle Club, but that might take ages, as their magazine is quarterly. It may be worth trying one of those Raleigh/vintage collectors'groups on Facebook or some such place. Strange it hasn't sold, because that amber Humber is the rarest of the Raleigh/Rudge/Humber Clubman set and a few months ago there was a beat-up, "spares and repair" example, which sold for £hundreds on ebay. I suppose luck and timing plays a part.

Updated info: can't edit the title as my login details have changed, but it's now confirmed as a first wave Holdsworth Special from 1974, with later braze-ons and non-Special colouring. Approx 23" from centre to top. The Reynolds sticker that was the source of some confusion has been removed, revealing the original 531 label. Price drop bump - £300 ono.

FS - another ancient Terrot cycle. To recap: Terrot was a justly celebrated maker of cycles and motor cycles, both being of excellent quality. After being taken over by Peugeot in the 1950s, they ceased production in the late 1960s. This model is a 'Standard Homme', made at their large factory in Rue André Colomban, Dijon. The frame reference is 561873, which evidently dates it to 1939. It has stood idle since being restored some years ago. Unfortunately, whilst stored in a spare room with lots of other bikes, it has picked up a few scratches on the frame/forks. However, it's basically in clean, unused condition. It comes with original 1930s Rigida flip-flop 700c wheelset. The frame is approx 57cm ctt. I'd like £250 for it, but am open to persuasion, as I'll never get round to using it. I'll dig out suitable brakes, if required. Collection SE London or thereabouts. Happy to post; willing to split etc.

Vintage FH Grubb road bike from the 1950s - 56cm frame, fixed wheel/single speed set up, 27" rims with flip-flop rear hub (5 speed freewheel and fixed cog), Weinmann brakes, Williams chainset, period saddle, Dunlop Special Lightweight front rim, Rigida rear with Le Tour hub and TD Cross freewheel/fixed cog, il Primo Stem, GB Maes handlebars. The frame number is 11415, which places it in the first half of the 1950s(?). At some point the cycle was painted yellow. I stripped off most of the yellow, so the original paintwork and remains of the original decals are revealed. The paintwork is patchy in places, but not too bad. The vestiges of yellow paint left in the nooks and crannies can be removed with careful scrubbing. I'm after £150 ono for it (+£15 for shipping). Collection SE London.
