It's doing well but hasn't really been properly tested yet. Am planning to ride to Spain (on the Velodyssey) this spring, so that'll see it under a bit of a load over distance and I'll report back after that. I got a pair of Carradice front panniers off eBay to stick on it

Just fitted this Surly front rack on my Long Haul Trucker. It's strong but not very light, made of alloy so that it will be easily weld-able in the event that it breaks while crossing the Irrawaddy and has to be repaired by a local blacksmith (don't think that's going to happen to me).

Comes in silver as well. Haven't tested it under load yet. It allows you to hang your panniers high or low and has a shelf as well

56 year old cyclist. Own 4 bikes - 2 roberts road bikes, a Surly Long Haul Trucker and a Canondale Bad Boy (now used as an exclusively single track bike - I swapped the 700 wheels for 26" fat knobblies)

Fortunately yes, it just peels off. But they were very good. Helpful, friendly, gave good advice, so I'm well happy
