Just tried to pop home to see my dad and my nan before Christmas and had to abandon at Bromley. Someone has been hit by a train outside Brixton so all trains from Victoria to the Kent coast are cancelled or diverted, just an FYI in case anyone else is planning this today. So awful anytime of year let alone Christmas.

I've always associated boss man with casual racism mainly because I grew up with family members calling anyone foreign who works in a takeaway boss man and I knew those family members were racist. Never seen them call a white guy boss man.

There was a Jerusalem artichoke on my plot when I got it but it's right next to the path between mine and my grumpy neighbour's plot so I dug it up and moved it somewhere more sensible. Turns out I left a bit in and it grew to a 14ft monster. I attempted to dig it up again today and got myself 1.5kg of chokes. Hopefully I got it all out this time.

Bought some in Greggs at Glasgow central station yesterday for the train home. Very anaemic, doughy and under baked. Saved the rest to finish off cooking at home. Took another 8 minutes in the air fryer!

Been in Glasgow this weekend, had some good evenings in The Pot Still, the staff are great and take time to recommend things based on your tastes even if it's heaving. Finished the holiday with a Kilkerran 17 year old which was incredible.

Acers, only advice don't get a red one if it's a really sunny spot as it'll burn. We made that error. They prefer a bit of a sheltered, shady spot.
