They are completely enclosed, no need to hang limbs out. The canopy is aluminium framed.

Regarding gears....the Alfine 8 is pretty bombproof. Add a Gates belt drive and you've got a pretty durable and minimal maintenance drivetrain. That said, I still use a derailleur/cassette....just suits my riding better.

The Folding Seat works well with two children when used in conjunction with the Canopy...which is wider than the frame itself. It ships with 2 seatbelts and has been designed with 2 small children in mind.

I crashed and it cracked. The replacement tube is slightly thicker and a larger diameter than the original and we decided to alter the placement of the internal cable entry to reduce the risk of failure too.

Handbuilt, fillet brazed, Columbus Spirit/Life triple butted tubing, internal cable routing, Paragon Machine Works dropouts, headtube and bb shell. PF30 bb for optional singlespeed masochism and raising/lowering bb height. Straight 1 1/8 headtube. Room for 40mm tyres, 27.2 seattube. Had downtube replaced last spring and frame resprayed so very few paint chips. Light, damn fun to ride and hot as hell.
