My daughter hates people who talk with food in their mouths. I mean, really hates it with glaring 'I'm gonna bite your head off and spit down your neck' kinda stare. I try not to answer her if I have a mouth full of nosh but she also gives a very similar stare to anyone who doesn't answer her straight away.

You could question them about their knowledge of UK trading law and ask if they are adhering to it and where does it state that this is necessary in order to provide a refund.
I tried to return faulty goods and they claimed it couldn’t be done as it was out of warrantee. That period was far shorter than UK law stipulates and, talking to Amazon, it was clear they didn’t know that or were deliberately flouting it. They sorted a refund as soon as I pointed this out. -
My partner did the London to Paris bike ride this summer. A big achievement as she is very much a leisure cyclist.
As a ‘well done’ birthday pressie I bought her the Lego Notre Dame set back in August.
It’s now cold and wet outside so I’m guessing she might be asking for me to clear some of my models so she can get on with it. -
Tai chi. I was plagued with neck pain during and after cycling. I had suffered a compression injury years before and just thought time and degeneration had caught up with me and that was my lot.
A friend suggested tai chi. I was sceptical and reserved and felt a bit of a berk at first waving my arms around etc, but the improvement was pretty quick so that gave me impetus to continue.
It work for me by increasing my awareness of how my movements were executed ie, I learned to feel which muscles did what and concentrate on the signals the joint and muscle were sending to my brain during a limb movement. I realised that most of the time my neck and shoulders were in tension and this could be relieved by measured and mindful gentle movements. -
Likewise, websites that give you a great long list of products mostly unrelated to your search entry. When you eventually find something like you’re looking for, open its page then go back to check for more choice, it takes you back to the start of the (mostly irrelevant) list.
I can forgive this on minor traders who don’t spend the dosh on web browser platforms but there’s no excuse for national retail chains. -

What is it about Facebook Marketplace that attracts total wasters?
I’m been after a few different things recently and sent out 12 messages to sellers, 7 of which haven’t replied. 5 of the items are still advertised for sale.
If I hadn’t got some proper bargains on that forum in the past I wouldn’t ever bother.

Had a chance to see the real Thrust SSC close-up shortly after it broke the record. I worked for BAE on the Isle of Wight and it was parked up, like it was part of the company car pool, behind our office, no barriers, chains or guard. I could have climbed onboard if I’d dared. Some of the details on it were insane for a supersonic vehicle. Craziest thing was the wheels which looked almost exactly like large versions of the nylon pivot wheels on warehouse pump-trucks.
