The makeshift wheelie bins and scaffolding + the police turning up as they were leaving the second time seemed to have done the trick. @Oliver Schick - its more of a cage with a padlock than a bread bin, and in Wapping, and as I don't use it, I think I'll let one of the users deal with it from here. Same applies to use of cameras etc, it is right outside my front door, and they did threaten my neighbour with kicking her door down so I don't want to interfere more. My building has scaffolding around it atm, and the local thieves are having a field day (3 robberies in one weekend!) Maybe the council will sort something more secure...
