I’ve only ridden single speed/fixed but am intrigued of the potential fun of gears. Would you say for someone like me who live in London, not very hilly part, who just ride for fun and to try and lose weight. That a geared bike might be too much?

Nice build mate. Could you let give us some info on a few things? Bike size, inseam, height and reach?

Its sad looking at this and all numerous other fatalities along with plenty of accidents that could’ve been fatalities. Something’s got to change.

Yeah its a major factor to keep in mind. Havent been a problemso far though.

Although I really have to be aware and think when taking turns, specially when going uber slow.

Edit: the flat pedals hit the tires. Not the cranks. Still an issue though

Went to Evans in Brentford for a bb tool. I see lots of negativity towards this branch on LFGSS (big up!) and also in google reviews.

Simon the manager was a nice dude. He offered assistance and was very friendly. I was after some anti seize as well and he offered to order it in as none were in stock in any stores (He checked another branch for me).

If this branch's staff is struggling with maintenance or build schedule then Evans should offer them support via staff training/more people/better processes. Its easy to bash people and more difficult saying more productive comments.

I hope they get better as little mistakes is costing that branch alot of credibility.

Oh so very depressing thinking about the rain/sleet/cold and snow. I better service my skiing gear for commuting use 😭

Thats good to know. I do have front brakes, so I will just keep an eye if the down tube starts to get any marks from the front tire rubbing. And get good at skid stopping.
