Looking for a cheapish 18 or 20' bike for a 6 year old.
I work in a school and we have a child that's struggling to transition into his new year group. He's really motivated by bikes, but he's grown out of his and his Mum won't bring it in to school. As such, he's been 'borrowing' other children's whenever he's on the playground. I want us to have a bike available to use for movement breaks and as a motivation in classes.
Looking for something cheap (less than £50?) but that can cope with being ridden round a playground a couple of times a day. Cheers!

Have you come across this on singletrack?

Looks to be a bit of a bargain if you can get it from Manchester and don’t mind chipped paint. -

Sold to @Carey. Great to meet you, lovely way to spend a sunny morning! Will be picking your brain soon.
Thanks all for the interest, hope you find another one.

Thanks all! It's a great bike but it deserves to get used more and I've had my fair share of forum bargains. @Carey is coming to see it on Saturday; I'll update after if it's still available.

SOLD: Mason Definition 2.0 58cm
Wheels & tyres: Mason x Hunt 4 Season wheels, Gravelking Slicks (32mm)
Groupset: Shimano 105 R7020 hydro groupset (11-32 cassette, 140mm rotors)
Finishing kit: Deda Superzero, Fabric saddle, no pedals£SOLD
In great condition, with a few minor scuffs and scratches. The cassette and chain are running well but may need replacing in the not too distant future; I can throw in a brand new cassette. The bar tape is pretty tired but it’s got a few more rides in it.
It’s a lovely bike and I’ve not had it for as long as I was intending. I built it up mid-pandemic and have loved how smooth and quick it’s proven. Becoming a parent/a Fairlight Secan/finally accepting a 58 is too big for me, means I’m not riding it enough.
Photos are from when it was built up: happy to provide recent ones if there’s some interest. Will consider splitting if there’s no interest after a couple of weeks.
Collect from SE5.

They’re my home tracks and lanes, and still some of my favourite spots to ride. Lots of the old railway lines and forestry tracks are brilliant, long gravel sections but they do get pretty washed out in the winter. I made a zine about riding them a couple of years ago and we’re doing a write up of Route YC for the next volume. If you’re interested, have a look at northriding.cc for a few more ride ideas and route write ups.

Cannondale R500 CAAD3, £250.
Flatbar conversation of a classic with the original Slice fork and ‘Handmade in the USA’ sticker. Really quick and amazing to ride round London - accelerates and responds brilliantly. Built up by Seabass with new bottom bracket, tiagra brakes and shifters, 4700 tiagra crankset and Mavic Kysriums. In good mechanical condition, though lots of chips to the paint, particularly on the toptube and fork. It runs really smoothly and quietly; I’d be holding on to it if I hadn’t just had a baby.
Frame: 57cm
Gears: Shimano 4700 Tiagra 2x10 flatbar 11-32 cassette
Wheels & Tyres: Mavic Ksyrium Elite S wheelset with Michelin Pro4 endurance tyresBasket, bag and rack not included and not for sale.
Collect from SE5 or can meet in central.

I used zipties too, holds perfectly. The bag’s great: my partner has one made by @Buildhigh which has more features, is more functional and was really good value compared to what I paid for mine.

Mason x Hunt 4 Seasons 700c wheelset (version 1) with 38mm tanwall Panaracer Gravelkings. Shimano freehub. Centrelock disc mount and currently with QR axles, but spares to convert to 6 bolt/thru-axle available here
Currently running with tubes but both wheels and tyres are tubeless compatible. QRs required and they’re without rotors or axles.
Purchased from Hunt in 2018 and well used since then but they’re still running true. Scratches as you’d expect from the age and use but purely cosmetic.
Looking for SOLD.
Pickup from SE5.
Anyone got a Ridgeback Errand they’re looking to move on?
Looking for a 20” e-cargo bike that my partner and I can share, and the poor man’s Katu looks like a good fit.
Happy to explore any other small-wheeled e-cargo bikes that can easily adjust between two differently sized riders.
