Thanks for the warm welcome folks! I'll definitely keep my ear to the ground for drinks - I live in East London and work on Southbank so I'm spread fairly thinly across London, which hopefully means more drinks for me :)
You will be happy to know I've managed a couple of trips out on the bike this week and last weekend, London wasn't as scary as I first thought!

Hey guys,
Ive had a scout around on the forum and can't find anything so far so...
I've booked what will be a surprise trip to Berlin for my partners birthday, in April. While I want the trip to be spontaneous, I've never been to Berlin before. I'd love to be able to offer up some choices since we are there for four days and I plan to mock up my own little tour book to announce the gift.
Any one got any Berlin must see, must do recommendations? Whether it be touristy sightseeing stuff through to things only the locals venture. We are both 29, pretty enthusiastic and easily pleased.
I have a while yet, so will have definitely googled and researched Berlin to death by April but I'm looking for a places to start. Nothing beats the scoop from people that have experienced it themselves.
Any feedback would be hugely appreciated!

Bonjourno fellow cyclists!
I’m not sure of forum etiquette but I didn’t want to start posting without introducing myself first.
So I’m Kirsty – I work in TV, I’m northern and fairly recent to London but a resident long enough to start saying words like glass, laugh, and even ‘nice’ yesterday like a southerner (a year and a half).
A keen cyclist in the north but I was majorly intimidated by all the horror stories about cycling in London so I haven’t got on a bike in the whole time I’ve been in the capital… Until now, I brought my bike down as of this Christmas and hope to get back on the horse for commuting and fun-times ASAP.
To cut a not very long story even shorter, as soon as I mentioned cycling people started telling me to sign up here so that’s my story.
Happy new year, 8 days late.
Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone can help me out here, is there anywhere in London that sells the Rocker Vader mini bmx?
We are filming a television show tomorrow and desperately need to be able to purchase two bikes in store tomorrow.
It's been an absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere that sell them on a Sunday evening.
Failing this, anywhere that sells them within a reasonable distance of London?
Any help, we would be hugely grateful!!!
