long winters this far up north.
First snowfall came last week, and it’s been below freezing for the last few days.

I mainly ride ice roads and bike paths during the winter, and I figured that this could make it a bit more fun. Going to out on some ice spiker pro when we get more snow.

The caad12 forks have waaay more space than my old caad10 fork.
Could probably fit a 32mm tire if i wanted as well.

Still haven't managed to get the disc wheelset built up, but then again the season just started up here in the north :) It's the exact same geometry of the forks though, so it should handle exactly like the rim brake version :)

Just bolted on through the mounts on the basket.

Pretty low amount of force on the bolta tho. I’ve heard of people just zip-tying the basket instead :) @bobble

building up new wheels so that I can run a front disc on it. Hope pro4 silver front hub, silver dt comp spokes and the new open pro disc rims.

for a rear wheel i'm trying to justify a phil wood, but it's kinda hard.

haven't tried any high loads on them, but the vertical forces would be divided between the three mounting points, the torque would be put straight through the abus mounts and against the fork legs, which would be more than strong enough

Tried to sell stuff from the parts bin but failed, decided to build a bike from the parts instead.

Need brakes and a crankset, probably end up with bb7 and apex 1.

Trying to figure out some kind of neat light setup too, preferable F+R light with one battery to both. Suggestions?

yep, same fork specs as the caad12 too. I use a caad12 himod on it right now and I have a caad12 disc fork in the garage as well.
