trades are a funny lot sometimes. The guy i'm using now has pointed stuff out to me (that i'd have likely not noticed) and done little things that weren't in spec but nonetheless are really nice touches.
I've also found that he can miss glaringly obvious errors. It's quite hard to figure out whether these are genuine oversights or just that he doesn't want the extra faff/expenditure with fixing it.

more seriously than @sohi - it's not a problem unless you have a hot water cylinder. We don't store any water with a combi so it's not a risk

Thanks.
How do you think it compared in price to the equivalent Howdens / High St. 40k kitchen shop price?
I guess you needed to bring your own builder / kitchen person in to do the putting together.
Just keeping it in thread - the kitchen we had in our last place was Howdens. No difference in quality tbh, at least to my untrained eye. All 3 of the guys fitting current kitchen said they thought the unit quality was very good.
Hinges/runners all smooth etc. Good range of unit types etc. No downside really, unless you're not willing or able to think about your own design.
And yeah - get your own fitter.

Pretty good tbh. The planner does a lot of that - it'll flag stuff that it thinks won't work and automatically provide end panels etc.
Then someone checks over the plan before you pay/finalise the order. They messed up one panel for me but I was mixing and matching some bits in a fairly non-standard way - and they sorted free collection and refund for the part so no harm done.
I paid about £6k for my kitchen (minus appliances and worktops) and that's with quite a few cabinets/drawers etc.

seconded for the dial. Will never go back to touch screen controls on a cooker now.
I got mine for £200 off FB marketplace. Worth about £1000 new so I am made up even if it isn't flush mount...
