So a few hours ago I was wondering if a rack bag might be the way to go and thought I would make a quick mock-up in ms paint to decide which colour to get. Fell down the rabbit hole and I ended up creating My-First-Vision-Boardâ„¢ which i present here for prosperity.
manifesting my vision into the universe /10. Would vision board again.Anyone know a good reason to not use a rack bag? I already have the pannier rack so would probably keep that and think about swapping for a seatpost / saddle attached rack later on.
I'm hesitant to go for a saddle bag as I reckon the swing will be a small torture and no organisation.
The next choice would have been a full frame bag but figured that would act as a massive sail causing me to stack it the next time a crosswind came along.
What I think would work is a combination of rack bag and partial frame bag, leaving enough luggage space for snacks without ruining the handling. Trying to avoid having a handlebar bag.Tl;dr Yellow Red or Black?

My starting point is a stock genesis equilibrium. It isn't really a choice since i'm keeping an eye on the cost but i reckon a strong steel frame should be a good starting point.
There's a whole lot of component swapping I have planned so i can't wait to see what it looks like when i'm done.
Its limited to rim brakes which might make me one of the few without discs this year. I don't know the stats but it feels like every everyone else is running discs.Feel like a fumbling virgin trying to work my way through the mountain of logistics required.
Me too. Still trying to figure out which bit to start on first.

Had a bittersweet day yesterday at Hampton Court half. Managed to smash out a new pb of 1.28.40 despite a short training period after a few months of hedonism (very much felt in the last couple of miles). Unfortunately my colleage beat me by 21 seconds despite this being his first half, the gazelle lookin' bastard.
I'm still taking the win though since I was wearing a turkey hat and started in a few pens (coups) back. Scaling for aerodynamics and traffic I smashed it.

I got a ticket from the waiting list for the Rapha "Explore" event tonight. I'm ready for @skinny 's stories to terrify this newbie waiting for their ballot result.

Wondering if anyone had started bringing it into work yet.
I don't really want to have to explain that I'm eating space food every lunch, or pretend i'm a dude bro with the protein shakes. Probably being a little sensitive but I don't like talking to anyone in the office regardless. Also as I nabbed a referral code off here then here is one in return for anyone who needs it. That's the application submitted, with a cool hour and half to spare. I hope they don't filter out the last minute people and focus on the fact it was still before the deadline. I wanted the application to mirror how i plan to do the race, 1 hour before closing time.
Now to find ways to forget about it until the results are out. Pub?

Skipped through the last live video from kinesis which they were showing the last twenty minutes of the checkpoint. Was nice watching the last couple of riders make it just in time, but probably should have ended there and not live streamed the first riders not to make it. Pretty awkward.
Great moment watching a rider from Barcelona spark up a ciggie though.

Geoffroy (93) appears to have started on the banned road. I wonder if he hasn't had chance to read about the banned road and is just pressing on with his route or has decided to take the time penalty.
It looks like Ian (16) has stopped, assuming for re-routing so will probably see him avoid the E81 road.
With the penalties to the front two and Geoffroy (weather aware of it or not) and Ian having to re-route it looks like Jonas (60) is safely on the podium.
