I can't quite see from the photos but is it possible to lift the gate off its hinges? I ask because that's how thieves gained entry to my place a few years ago, even with a padlock. When I went to the local hardware store to get 2 stout brackets to put over the hinges, the guy in the store just said "Break in through the gate did they?" apparently it's a thing.
Tidy work by the way.

I simply enjoy riding and since I stopped racing, I’ve found having some basic structure to my rides keeps me on track. Nothing fancy, take every 3rd week easy (I’m in my 50’s), keep an eye on the weekly training stress, which now includes long walks, runs, DIY and gardening. Don’t worry about what other people are doing.
Some of my most enjoyable rides have been on my shopping/pub bike – mid 80’s Raleigh Pioneer, rust, busted everything and cobwebs. Really shifts your mind-set.
Part of what drives it all is knowing that one day I won’t be able to swing my leg over a bike, and then I’ll regret every time I chose not to get out there.

Saw the Audi about 8am and did wonder. Hope the rider is OK.
29.2.22, Saturday morning, I saw a rider go down in an group in what looked like an innocuous touch of wheels. Lap after that they were doing compressions on one of the guys, next lap they had closed the road for the air ambulance.
Didn't see any news of how he's doing, anyone know? -

@hugo7, I've been having similar thoughts about courses but not sure how much of a commitment I could make so I'm going to go for a two-day toe dipper here, https://www.newschooloffurniture.com/
I'm reasonably competent but figure it would at least hone skills and maybe spark something.
Good luck with your next step.

Apologies for jumping in on the chat. I'm planning an MFT style bench and have settled on a jig/router to make the top, this, https://www.cncdesign.co.uk/pro-jig-replacement-perforated-festool-type-mft3lp-top.html
You wouldn't happen to have one in your library of handy templates? -
I've got a 585 with similar cracking and it doesn't seem to be a problem*, I think it's just the paint.
- Marked and measured the cracks for years. A couple of experienced mechanics have OK'd (there was one doom monger). I've ridden the bejaysus out of it including Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. And I am somewhat on the heftier end of the ride weight scale.

These... https://www.tredz.co.uk/.XLC-MTB-Trekking-Platform-Pedals-PD-M10-_126872.htm
Bought for my town bike but never realised pedal axles come in different sizes, these are the smaller 1/2 inch, so never fitted or used. I did adjust the cones so they run a bit smoother.
Returns to Tredz only with packaging, which I recycled hence the sale here. ÂŁ10
Pick up from NW10 Dollis Hill or centralish/Regents Park

Not a wheel building Q as such but any tips would be appreciated. I have set of knock-about Shimano wheels and one particular spoke on the radially laced front keeps loosening, have tried thread lock to no avail and it’s a trickster. Will be fine for weeks then it slacks off randomly. It’s like if Brexit was a spoke and it’s driving me crazy.

ÂŁ600
Pro-Lite Trentina track bike. 7005 Al with carbon fork (not drilled)
I bought the bike second hand last year from a guy who had used it at Herne Hill about half a dozen times, I’ve used it only at LVV about 15 times. Always stored in house and in car to the velodrome.
Seat tube: 50cm c2c, 57cm c2t; Top tube: 55cm c2c
I’m 6’2” but with relatively short legs, my road bike is 56cm, there’s plenty of adjustment to be had so 5’8” plus would work. If I was continuing I would have put a longer stem on (currently 100mm). There is 35mm of head tube spacer up front too.All parts are Pro-lite branded including Rosa wheels with Vittoria CS Pista tubs (Bought new when I got the bike, some wear but plenty of life in them)
The frame has deep aero tubes and a carbon seat mast making it look pretty aggressive, it also has replaceable dropouts and screw-stops, saves a lot of time when putting in the back wheel.
I’ve completely reassembled the bike, it’s all mechanically perfect, I’ve never crashed it. There are a few paint chips as you would expect from car transporting. Chain line is perfect.
Gearing: 52x15 with spare 16 and lock ring.
Pedals: Shimano 105 level with cleats (I might have some extra cleats kicking around)
Handlebars: It came with sprint bars as pictured, I put on some 3T pro Nova traditional bend and have some other bars. I’ll sell it with the sprint bars but if you want to take any of the others that’ll be extra depending on what you take.Other additional bits I have to sell are..
Spare new CS Pista tub
350g Al Conti tub glue.
Shimano TL SR2 track specific chain whip
ParkF13 crank bolt spanner.
Park DCW2 cone spanner
.. all in a rather natty fabric brief case big enough to put extra chainrings.
P.O.A.Based NW10.
It’s everything you need to get going on the track.

I'm looking for ÂŁ700 for the lot, would consider splitting but if you don't have the bits you'd end up buying them at some point.
Cheers
Don't sell your cassette lockring removers, they end up being like a museum of bikes past. Still have a Regina CX remover from my 80's race bike.
