Here is one I randomly made up last week that turned out to be really great! 40km loop, starts at the bottom of Muswell Hill, goes through Barnet Gate, north of Hadley, Cockfosters and Arnos Park. Its a bit hilly which makes it a great training route. It gets quite scenic and low traffic around the halfway point. Only thing to watch out for is that it takes you out on the A1 right after Barnet Gate.

Did my first open water wetsuit swim in one of the Hampstead Heath ponds this week. Was a very different experience than pool swimming! No one else around, brown muddy water and no walls to rest on to for a quick breather. Felt a bit panicky at first but got into it pretty quickly. Pace felt very slow but Strava says around 2:30/100m which is decent for me. Must be the buoyancy from the suit that helped. Definitely want to get out there more often!

Damn that's a lot of of hours! Have you been doing triathlons for a long time? These last two weeks for me with 4h each have really put a toll on my body, guess I'm not used to the volume. This is a recovery week which suits me well, specially after a long 217km ride I did on Sunday.
Do you have a link to the plan you are following? Would be interested to see how its set up. Here is the one I am doing.

I am doing the aj bell London triathlon first week of August, is anyone else going? I signed up for the olympic after having one too many beers like everyone else. Really stoked about it though, I have never swam (or ran) actively before and haven't followed a training plan in years. Bit of a learning curve but I really enjoy the swimming part of it! Found a training plan that just focuses on volume, started out last month with 4h each week and peaking around 8h the last month. Should be good! Now I'm on the lookout for tri bars :O

Last question about the guards - are they the Velo 42 model? Since they are out of stock I'm looking to get them somewhere else.

Got a suprise email from Canyon yesterday saying that it will be delivered today, one week before estimated shipping date. It seems that they are finally starting to get their shit together. UPS delivered it to my work this morning. What a beauty. Had a quick spin around the block, such a sick ride! mind = blown
Will snap some better pictures of it this weekend hopefully.

Stoke Newington is amazing, very veg friendly. Try Cafe Z or haberdashery for a lovely breakfast /lunch. For something a bit more filling, check out Rasa on church St (vegetarian indian). Stokey bears have a nice veggie burger that can easily be veganised if I remember correctly. If you are closer to Kings Cross, check out VX on Caledonian Rd. Tiny shop with all things vegan, they serve some delicious foods and treats.
Hello everyone BTW, long time lurker first time poster in the vegan thread :)
Had a lovely ride up around the Chiltern Hills today. Didn't eat or drink enough today in the heat so the last hour or so was real painful. Amazing landscape up there though, very picturesque! I'm crap at stopping to take pictures so heres one that doesn't do the ride any justice.
