Got some joshing from three builders in a clapped out beemer last summer. Driver said something that I couldn't make out which his two mates thought was hilarious. I ignored and went on. Stopped at next lights, he pulls up alongside and says something else - without thinking, I turned around and just said that if he really wanted my number he'd have to ask nicely. Cue two mates roaring with laughter - thought I was for it but he just said 'good one' and we parted ways. Maybe he did want my number.
Anyway - he could just as easily taken offence and run me over - which is what they do in Penge - so I wont be doing that again.
Just smile and wave people, smile and wave.

Mine has been in service for about a month now and I'm loving it. My build was delayed because I was supplied with a faulty caliper initially so couldn't bleed the front brake.
Went for Hunt 4season disc wheels with 28mm Conti 4 Seasons and it makes for a very smooth ride. Frame looks beautiful in the blue and is staying that way thanks to a set of matt 35 bleumels
The 685/805 brakes and shifters work fantastically well but I have found the hood shape is a bit lumpy without careful wrapping. The rest of the running gear is ultegra stuff I took off the old bike along with the cockpit, saddle etc.
Great fun to ride and the hydraulics are a revelation in power and feel.

Hope you have some luck with that. Think some more emails to kinesis are in order. I know that quite a few tapered carbon steerers don't require a crown race hence my query. Did you use a specific tool to install it?
Anyway, just got shipping notice from Hunt about the 4season disc wheels I ordered. Bar some new contis they're the last bit I'm waiting for. Build starts soon, assuming the toddler gives me a moment!

These both look like really nice builds, sorry to see that frame crack Turtle.
I've just taken delivery of a 4s disc after a nasty hit and run mangled my canyon. Quick question, did you guys install the crown race on your builds? I emailed kinesis and they told me the fork has an integrated crown race... Confused now!

Nearly got taken out by a police van at a pinch point in Beckenham this week. Totally unnecessary overtake which came within inches of hitting me.
Caught them up at the next lights and the driver was reading texts on her phone.
What a f*&king shower.
Roadsafed just for a laugh.
