I was one of those players who had no issues from the start (laptop). It suffered from outrageous hype and overreach that no game would live up to. That said I found the characters and missions really engaging, gameplay is great - different builds make for genuinely different ways of playing. The world design and atmosphere (and soundtrack) are amazing and honestly a long way ahead of almost any other game I've played. The world needs to be a bit more immersive (more stuff to do perhaps) but that is minor. It has some genuinely moving moments. Perhaps not on a par with RDR2 but not far off in some instances, imo. I've sunk hundreds of hours into it and its a world I still like going back to.

We go daughter (8) in front, me behind. I feel I can spot potential problems and call them out to her but she is pretty good already (she's been riding to school on the roads for a few years now). Sadly the car brains in Bromley council have removed the lockdown cycling infrastructure on our route making it back into a rat run of speeding drivers so we have to go on the pavement for parts. I tend to run a little wide to ward off traffic and so they can see her in front of me.

First time meeting an Australian cattle dog in BPP on Monday (part blue heeler, part red heeler apparently). Owner described it as a Mad Max dog! Very strange but very handsome looking fellow, built like a tank and wiiiide. The poodle wanted to say hello, as he does with everyone bar huskies and black labs, but had to call him back as the other one was nervous. Looked as if he'd take off a leg if he nipped you.

Don't know if anyone has been to the current exhibition at the Barbican Curve but one of the way-out ideas for saving the planet was to have everyone living in a huge megacity and not allowed out to the rest of the planet so it can 'heal'. Seems like a solid idea with no downsides or potential issues.

Not been a good week for the mice around our house. One was found drowned in the drip bucket under our outside tap and another had been left in the middle of our path by one of the local cats, partially eviscerated. They do seem to be enjoying my new compost heap though. Always surprise one or two when I take out the leftovers.

Through rigorous scientific study (one subject) I have determined that by far the most dangerous part of my journey is the mile between home and the Waterlink Way. Close passes, ignoring my signals, squeezing me at pinch points, ignoring right of way at roundabouts, pulling out without looking. A mile of pure joy. Not sure what it is that makes it different to the rest of London but I'm putting it down to the 'Kent' factor.

An interesting, if short, article on an area you don't generally see so much about unless you're looking. Quite staggering stuff really.

My inlaws got this a few weeks back and paid them £3k.... this was less than a year after they were scammed out of their life savings.
