Looking at picking up a 2010 Cannondale Supersix, it comes with 2 wheelsets (ambrosio/ultegra handbuilts, and a set of DT swiss 420s) and is built up with full 2008 ultegra. Is it worth £480?
And how much of an upgrade is it going to be on my Specialized Sectuer elite? I'm going for a test spin tomorrow, just want to see if the price and upgrade is right. -

Well, I'm not a fan of printed kits. All my kit is black, or singe colour. but i need this in my life.
Morvelo melon farmer kit (Bibs, ss jersey, baselayer, and cap)
Maybe I won't wear it as a full kit, it looks a little wild, but the bibs with a black, red, or green top, and the top with black bibs will look ace, Cap goes with everything because it's so good.
unsure how I feel about the baselayer. -
well, Rapha are definetly processing a lot of returns, I check the Archive sale each day and the available items and sizes change from day to day. I've picked up 2 pro team aero jerseys in my size that were previously sold out. I'm just hoping some moron ordered a winter windproof jersey in my size that he knows he really can't squeeze into and has to send back.
Also checking the new arrivals, I'm waiting for the new pro team jerseys and wondering if the black Long sleeve PT jersey is going to go on sale.... (probably just a dream right?) -

when people ask me what I want, i ask for things like helmets, shoes, gloves etc. and then insist that I need to pick them to ensure they fit first.
I find the item I want, flick them a picture of the product, the price, and why It's a good gift and low and behold, I get exactly what I want/need.
But my wife tells me that my family is sensible and boring...
From her side of the family I was given 2 pairs of socks, both white, which I will never wear in a million years, donated to my dad instantly. I walk around wearing nothing but black, grey and dark blue for years and suddenly white socks!? not sure how being surprised with something I hate is more interesting than asking for something I actually need...
I didn't get any tack this year at least. -
sits out in the raining, counting all the money I don't have, dreaming of the day that the shadow kit goes up for sale at 50% off so that I can actually justify buying it.
all those complaining about black... just remember: Black is always the new black. if you want to be seen, use lights, I find they're easier to see in rain than bright colours or reflectives anyway.
interested to see how the shadow kit holds up to heavy use though. Also for anyone following the rapha blog, is anyone else stoked for a helmet, made by another company with the rapha logo on for double the price?
I am actually interested to see what these other innovations they promise for the pro team range, and the updated brevet collection too -
In search of recommendations for a commuter bag,
Current backpack is solid, and does everything well, except for being a hair too small, and being ridiculously sweaty.
I live in Auckland NZ, so it's usually ~20 degrees celcius, and 80-100% humidity.
So I'm looking for a bag that is around 30L, and has excellent back ventilation, and is waterproof.
Backpack or messenger, bonus points for reflective things, all black, and expandable bags.
I'm in the market for a new bike, I have 2 bikes I'm looking at right now (both used)
1 is a 2010 Cannondale supersix with a 2008 ultegra SL group, and 2 sets of wheels (ambrosio/ultegra, and DTswiss 420's) or
a Scott 2013 CR1 pro, full ultegra, and syncros wheels.
Both are almost exactly the same price, which do I jump on and why?
I can't test ride both, I can test ride the cannondale though, which I will be doing shortly.
