Hi y’all,

Bit of a longshot this one, looking for a black 52t Shimano Biopace chainring. Someone failed at breaking the Arbus on my dad's well-loved tourer but somehow managed to bend the outer chainring beyond repair. We can get hold of silver/grey replacements pretty easily but being a fussy-albeit-lovable sexagenarian, he wants a black one to match the set if at all possible.

And of course + money + beer + rep will be owed to someone who might be able to help.

Repeatedly been thinking about this this over past week - I’ve slowly been building a collection of bikes of where I have family from (London and Sheffield frames complete!), I’m currently working on a manchester-built project (my current money/time-sink), but I need something for the Polish within me. Sadly just don’t have the money at the moment, especially with the other build.

I think I do recall seeing it, sans the seat-tube murder you posted above, coming up to christmas. I bought an early Dolan made out of Deda Zero Uno with a similar (albeit not as horrific) issue as above. Fine in photos, but the seller rammed the (oversized) seat post all the way down to fit it into his car when delivering it. Gave me a full refund and let me keep the frame which was nice...still looking for a decent welder for the repair though. Anyhoo, I’m off topic now. Still might make a project for someone with a welder!
