Weather looking decent, possibly a little rain Saturday evening, and some Sunday afternoon. Maaaaybe at night according to Windy. (Windy, Met Office)
Sleeping out then. And taking a rain jacket. Stoked -
I will be meeting @Dogs 9:30 in Chingford in case somebody else was going to be at the lock.

whooo looks so good for a trail+bikepacking capable bike. Only gripe is no stealth dropper routing. Maybe I should upgrade from OnOne Deedar...
Edit: probably not getting that one as the size won't fit me, no stealth routing, silly 27.5+ thing, ...
But then a question to everyone: what are other EU based frame makers with similar offerings in terms of geometry and price?

I really can't see what spending extra would get you
Personally it's peace of mind that the kit will deliver on the stated quality (e.g. waterproofness) in the worst conditions I might potentially use it in. To a lesser extent the marginal gainz from thoughtful design, knowing you're supporting small businesses, and the looks too tbh.
But, as you said, this seems like brilliant value for money, so I hope it does just well for people getting into bikepacking or not planning on taking themselves and gear to extremes. Net positive outcome of more folks enjoying the sport imo.
Lookup a FB bikepacking group of a less rich country than the UK - almost nobody is talking/selling/buying Revelate. AliExpress kind brands seem to flourish there. -

ugh was thinking of going to Swinley this weekend. Maybe the last muddy ride of the season then if I can brave it
