I was wondering whether anyone has any views on De Ver frames?

I must be honest and say that I had never heard of them but someone locally is selling a De Ver frame (1990's I believe) in 531 competition. I see that Maurice Burton owns the company but other than that I haven't been able to find out more about the quality of their frame building.

Any experiences or information would be much appreciated!!

Hi guys

I am looking for a 56cm (22"/22.5") road bike (possibly 55cm or 57cm) with a winter training spec. I am quite happy for an older bike, even downtube changers, but would like a reasonably decent frameset if possible. Prefer steel but consider aluminium. Maybe 531/653?

Ideally something like a 105 or older 600 groupset. Would prefer something not too worn and knackered.

Budget is ideally £250-£300 but could go up to £400 for something nice.

I'm in Ely, just north of Cambridge.
