Interesting thread as I have a day-one too.. nice to see some gears on it.. where did you get the cable hangers for your brakes? Also what type are your guards? I need to make mine winter spec some enough!!

on my commute I'm up and down kerbs and can feel the extra weight hitting the wheel on the kerbs as I roll up them.

Also for somewhere to fit a decent light now that it's coming into the winter.

yes, fit to the fork crown, although my day one has V brakes on it..

I looking for a front Rack and bag combo for my genesis single speed, I would also like to mount a light on it too. in black

Requirements:

Rack - fitted to fork at top behind brake and each side by eyelets midway down fork leg, wide enough for a reasonable bag
Bag - large enough for a change of clothes - shoes, socks, towel, shirt, jumper and my lunch box + apple, etc etc.. waterproof and easily fixed to the rack

I currently use a toppeak rack and MTX bag with fold out side panniers which is big enough.. but would like to move it all to the front..

Sorry to Hi-Jack, but I to am after a decent front rack.. Does anywhere do one that bolts midway down the fork into the eyelets? instead of going down to the wheel axle?
