NOW SOLD!
I got this bicycle in parts through an exchange deal, so I threw it together and offer it up for sale here.
French Motobecane road racing bike, it has just been fully refurb'd. The frame has (unfortunately) had an amateur paint job (with some small mistakes on head tube and top tube) - I got it like that. Everything has been dismantled, cleaned (and sanded down, from the looks of it) and greased up during the build; Brand new Jagwire cable outer casings and cables; Practically new saddle and handlebar tape.
Mechanics in very good condition. Shimano 600 2x6 shifting group, Motobecane chainset and Weinmann brakes with very good pads. Clincher wheels with good tyres (front a bit too narrow though). Flat pedals included. Might need some minor adjustments but basically ready for rides.
Frame length 57 cm c-c, height 57 cm c-c, head tube 14.7 cm, stem 14 cm. Saddle and handlebar height adjustable (stem can't go lower at the moment, as it's got a very long internal tube and handlebar angle can't be adjusted due to a damaged bolt head - I think).
Ideal for riders cca 180-192 cm high (5ft 10" - 6ft 4").
Only looking to get £75 -> NOW £60 + postage (due to high postage cost) and even open to offers at that price, as I don't need this bike at all and someone could make good use of it!
Thanks, Nikica.

@MRI - if that was the case, you wouldn't have seen it listed here to begin with :-( ;-).

I'm reluctantly selling this beautiful 1997 French Titanium frameset, as it's just too small for me.
The measurements are 54 cm TT c-c and 54 cm ST c-c with 14 cm head tube.
For 1" fork, 27.2 mm seat post and 1.37x24T bottom bracket (i.e. BSA or English).
(By the way, the bike as pictured weighs 7.5 kg)
Very good condition, just an odd scuff and scratch (I'll give it a detailed inspection soon).
Comes with the headset and nice brushed fork (as pictured - contains some speckles of rust) plus 10cm ITM stem and 40-41cm handlebars in equally nice condition (without the cable outers though):
Looking to get £400 + shipping for the lot (max £39 to the UK, 7-10 days with tracking).
All serious offers considered and have quite a few more parts that could be bundled as well.
Thanks, Nikica.

Really nice low mileage little bike (Swiss Record) with Columbus tubes, Shimano 600 6207 top to bottom and Mavic rims! Too small for me but I couldn't resist giving it a refurb and hopefully a new lease of life.
I have recently completely dismantled it, inspected, cleaned and greased everything, fitted new Jagwire cables and outers, new replacement hoods, new retro handlebar tape and new Selle Bassano R531 saddle.
The frame has got some scratches and burnt stickers in places but nothing radical. The tyres seem OK but it would be a good idea to fit new ones, if you are going to regularly ride it. Other than that, it requires zero investment in the long run.
Complete photo set (30 hi-res photos) available here:
http://s1373.photobucket.com/user/cybernck/library/Swiss%20Record%20600?sort=4&page=1Sizing, tech specs and weight:

- 10 cm stem
- 39 cm handlebars
- 52/42 chainset
- 170 mm crank arms
- 9.9 kg as pictured
The bike can be modified/adjusted to suit your exact needs and desires.
Looking to get £330 -> now £290 (+ shipping at cost) for the bike as pictured but open to offers.
The bike will be on offer exclusively on LFGSS for a short while.
Thanks, Nikica.

Very soon after my initial purchase, I stumbled across something I really wanted - a "LoPro" frame. As a bonus, it had turned out to be a very rare 1987 Fuji Team.
The reason I wanted one is to build a track-esque single-speed bike, so I threw some parts together to make one.
I was seemingly "on a roll", as I also picked up this nice little Bianchi Vento 602. Nothing special, Columbus GARA tubing and Shimano Exage groupset but it was practically new and 100% original... and kind of nice :-).
As the time progressed, it had become apparent that my collection would simply have to be a dynamic one, as I couldn't keep up with having so many bikes. Luckily, a friend was after a road bike for his Randonneur rides.
Having custom-built all my racing bicycles, I thought "why not, I can do it for someone else as well." We had then figured out his desired specs and I picked up a full Shimano RX100 groupset, modern ergo handlebars and Campagnolo Omega rims with Shimano 600 Tricolore hubs.
There you go - an updated retro bike with custom livery, dubbed PBP 1200 associating it with Paris-Brest-Paris 1200 km Randonneur event that it was built for.

RANT ALERT:
"it is worth £xxx" - What does it really mean? Value is a personal idea/feeling unless we are talking about financial/market value - in which case something is worth what someone is prepared to pay at a given moment.
Therefore, the only time I would consider this kind of criticism as constructive is if someone was to say "sorry but I can offer you £500 - take it or leave it", in which case the seller can legitimately decline and say "thanks but it is worth more than that to me", implying he would rather keep them and use them or simply have them hung on his wall rather than have £500 in the bank - in contrast to a reply along the lines of "it is worth £500 tops mate".
If something's overpriced - it won't sell. If someone finds it a good deal - then it will. So I say leave the man to it!
RANT OVER :-)
