As a contrast, for my own 1000 km race you only have to get to the start line, almost everything else is included in the measely starting fee.

We've got Fiona asleep but so is Ben, with a comfortable cushion of 155 km between the pair. So, with just 160-170 km left to go - that should be it. However, Job is currently still on the move and trailing Ben with "just" 100 km, so this will be interesting to watch, considering he's been "on a roll" today.

Not fixed but singlespeed. Well, technically, he's got two cogs, if I remember correctly, one fixed and one slightly bigger with a freewheel (for long descends), so technically non-shifting 2-speed :).

Ivan Cornell got this tracker fixed, so he's back on the map too. Amazing performance from a singlespeed rider!

Fiona has stopped not so long ago, while Ben still seems to be on the move. Fiona's avg heart rate was 96 bpm today (ultimate stalking 😂) which means she's both quite tired and also cruising without much effort. I'm sure the same goes for Ben though. With about 550 km to go, I can't see either of them finishing tomorrow.

Distance between them at the moment of writing this, now that both of them have stopped (going by GoogleMaps) is 140 km, so not THAT comfortable a lead as one may think.

The lead is only a short overnight sleep away for Ben - that's if she stops tomorrow night and he pushes through the night (tomorrow). We might be in for a sprint finish (in TCR terms :)) on Tuesday. Highly hypothetical and may as well go the other way, just making a point.
