That is good! I'm also thinking about having the steerer on the old forks replaced, but it'd take a lot of heat to remove the old one

yup, 629g columbus minimal is my next option but I can't get past the real steel feel ;)

Normal 700c fork, maybe I'm a bit of a weight weenie then, but the old fork was only 600g so I'd like to match that if possible.

I had thought of surly but as you say they're super heavy :(

I'm after a 1 inch thread less fork to finish my project, needs to have a steerer 300mm or longer ideally in reynolds 853. let me know if you can help!
