What are you trying to achieve?
Just think that the string tension is keeping the neck in shape. For example see below how much tension the standard 9 gauge strings cause:
E: .009" [PL] = 13.13 pounds
B: .011" [PL] = 11.01 pounds
G: .016" [PL] = 14.68 pounds
D: .024" [NW] = 15.77 pounds
A: .032" [NW] = 15.77 pounds
E: .042" [NW] = 14.77 poundsTotal Tension = 85.13 pounds

Well if you don't like the expression pedal there is no need to get a whammy.
I bought mine recently and the pedal helps to replicate Morello's pitch and sound effects.
I find the expression pedal handy though because you can have the pedal on and just use the expression pedal when you need to swift the pitch. -
Hi guys.
I want to build a pedal board to accommodate my guitar pedals.
I am thinking something like 60x25. Do you have any ideas where I can find raw materials?
Ideally I would like my pedal board made of wood instead of metal cause it's easier to fix some screws and bring everything together.
I am even thinking bed slats to be fair.
Do you have any suggestions? -

Hi everyone.
I am currently in a search for my Holy Grail. I am referring to a Parker Fly Deluxe prior 2003 models (which is when they sold the company and stop making them in the US).
One of my mates has a '99 one and since I played it I cannot sleep at night.
Unfortunately they are not popular in the UK and Europe because Gibson, Fender and PRS branding are doing their jobs right.
So if you know someone who knows someone who wants to sell please let them know that someone is out there looking for it.
My budget is around £1000-£1500... -
Hi Tom,
You can check these 2. I have the V22 (not the infinium one) and I am completely satisfied.

A year ago I was on the same spot as you.
I discovered the Bugera V22. It's a bit chunk (19kgs), 2 channel with boost, reverb and a turbosound speaker.
For the amount of money that you mentioned above you can get a new one. I have plugged various guitars and I wasn't disappointed with the outcome.
Have a look on youtube about them and if you are interested you can come and have a look on mine -

Still looking to find a Japanese Strat. Good news is that I found a Japanese online store which is quite famous in EU as well.
I found my beauty (which costs around £290 with shipping fees) and I will pay around £75 in duty fees once arrived in the UK.
Does anyone has bought before from Ishibashi? My online reseach and a call to the guys there indicates that they are very good. As well, any tip for making the duty process quicker? -
Well there are plenty of online materials that you can read about the Japanese factory and the quality of their guitars.
Unfortunately the last couple of years, the Japanese Fenders are not sold in EU or US and it makes them more rare and precious for all of us. And the EU regulations have changed recently and some types of wood (which they categorise as exotic wood) is not allowed to be imported in EU.
Carlos Santana has a PRS with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard but he couldn't bring it to EU as this piece of wood is "exotic".
Anyway, all of the above have to do with each individual's taste. I have seen guitarists playing with a £199 Squier and you couldn't believe in your ears.. -
Hi. I completely agree with you. This applies for all guitars simply because not every piece of wood is identical with each other, even if it comes from the same tree.
I have played with Squier Strat - Protone series and for my hands and taste they were more enjoyable than the Mexican ones. This doesn't make the Mexican ones worse guitars.
However, the japanese factory has quite a reputation that's why I would be interesting to try them first.
My main goal is to get a quality guitar, without taking into consideration the pickups or the electronics. I want to make a Frankestrat but I want the base (body and neck) to be as good as possible for my budget. -
Hi to all. If anyone is looking to sell any Fender Strat US or Fender Strat Japan, please contact me.
I borrowed a Fender Strat US custom, with Seymour Duncan mini humbucker on the bridge and a some other customisations and I fell in love.
P.S I am also interested to Squier Japanese from mid 80s or mid 90s -
I cycled yesterday from Clapham Junction to Kings Cross through Wandsworth Road and then Westminster bridge to go north.
Honestly, Wandsworth is a complete construction site. The road is so dirty and there is no way that you can avoid more than 10% of the holes. You suddenly feel like you are in Enduro races.
The worst part of the road is from Wandsworth Road Station to Vauxhall. Never cycling again from this part. -

1) I just bought a Polo and Bike Willamsburg
2) Currently it doesn't have any of these things. Hopefully they will arrive today though and I will have 1 of these things in my front wheel. If the brakes don't arrive today I will bring my anchor.Insecurity to its maximum
3) No it doesn't
4)A valve cap

I found out that the specialised are really badly packed. The are folded very tight around the valve and this makes a mark on the tube. I have had 3-4 tubes getting punctures on that spot and since then I stopped buying them. Vredestein's tubes are packed with the valve on the outside of the tube but I think the valve is a bit heavier.

It would be very challenging and expensive to create the Carbon-glass composite on the fretboard and the neck of the guitar. Maybe try to just copy the shape and use an Ebony fretboard like the new NiteFly has.
