Nope, red bike. Headphones and woolly hat. Maybe he's got homemade discs on all his bikes. Doesn't give a damn sounds right. I actually asked about the wheel but he didn't hear me, too busy rocking out.

Passing through Tufnell Park this morning, I saw someone with what looked like a homemade disc rear wheel on a rickety road bike. Looked like he had stuck it over the spokes and coloured it in using a felt-tipped pen.

Cheers, I'd considered some walking boots for that very reason, but the Five Tens seem popular and are meant to have superior grip... I'll have a think, have got some a grubby pair of adidas that are working fine for now.

I've got Nukeproof Neutron flats on my MTB - good grip.

I normally ride in trainers - adidas superstars or similar, but I'm now thinking of some mtb-specific flat shoes. CRC have some deals on Five Ten shoes right now, the Freeriders look decent and wouldn't break the bank... Anybody tried them, got any views? Any decent alternatives?

Collection from Highgate N6. Photos below.

1. SKS Bluemels - SOLD.

2. Used wheelset: Rodi Airline Evo. These are basic wheels; they make a good winter / training wheelset. They've seen around 2500 km. Black rims (stickers removed) with white spokes. I upgraded, kept these as spares, but they're now surplus to requirements. GONE.

3. Single speed conversion kit. I think it's this one. Basically a bunch of spacers, lock ring, and 18 tooth cog. Used for commuting for a few months, plenty of life left in it. Sold.

4. Charge Spoon saddle - white. Used. Has a bit of a blue tinge, from jeans I think - see photo. £5.

I'm open to offers on this - anybody interested? Any questions/comments? I'll leave it here a week or so then offer up for sale elsewhere if there's no interest - need the space so looking to sell asap.

The bit of dried grass hanging from the rear gear cable has now been removed by the way, in case that was putting anyone off.

Selling my 29er as I've gone back to 26". It's a Cube Analog, the 2013 model. Cross-country geometry, but it's coped with everything I've thrown it at including the DH tracks at the Forest of Dean and some rocky descents in the Peak District and Afan.

Size is large - 21 inch. Comes with Shimano Alivio/Deore mix groupset, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, Easton bars/stem/seatpost, Continental Mountain King rear tyre and Schwalbe Smart Sam on the front. The parts are mostly 'stock' but I've added DMR V8 pedals and bottle cage, and I've fitted a brand new chain.

It's in decent condition for a used mountain bike - see photos. I'm looking for £250 ONO. Comes with two spare tubes. I'm in Highgate, N6 if you want to come and see it.
