Can anyone suggest a way to install a little shelf on an angled ceiling?

Shelf is for a projector. First effort is imperfect:

Seems high, I'm not in London (Bedfordshire) but had essentially the same job done in October, and it cost £595 total. Took about two days.

I think if you're running the cable more than a certain distance then it may need to be properly buried (600mm deep?) which might add to the cost - we didn't need that.

It's not traditional, that's for sure, but I like it! Modern art vibes. And yeah there's not much going on after hours, it's pretty quiet.

I just got back from Flaine, loved it. Went there last year as well. Apparently it's good for beginners/intermediate (like me). I say apparently as I haven't been to any other ski resorts so can't really compare.

Do you use motion detection? I've switched that off (pointless as we're on a main road) so it's only triggered by pressing the doorbell - maybe that affects battery usage?

I don't go there very often but Swinley trails are clearly marked, obviously harder to follow signposts in the dark though.

Any recommendations for electric heaters for a garden office? 2.5 x 3.5m, wood insulated, double glazed. Considering a Hershel infrared panel heater.

Yeah that's the thing about BPW, qualifiers don't always seem to reflect the rest of the trail!
Roots Manoeuvres is great, I like the tech stuff - Groot is decent as well, not so easy to carry speed.
Such a great mix of trails there, I can't wait.

I'm there for a couple of days next weekend, can't wait - the Bonneyville qualifier has always scared me but I think I may be finally ready for it...

Looking at turbo mats - is there any real benefit over a (much cheaper) yoga mat or similar?

Hardtail probably best, the marked trails are relatively tame. A couple of fun sections in the middle but mostly quite 'XC' I'd say.
Fun for an hour or two if you're passing (it's near my in-laws') but not worth traveling far to visit IMO.
It does have a newish 'freeride' area that may be worth investigating if that's your sort of thing.

Yeah I've got a reconditioned kickr core, it's been fine. I feel like reconditioned is potentially less risky as they've already fixed any issues!

That route includes two classic Peaks descents - The Beast and one that I just know as the Ladybower Inn descent (pops you out at a pretty good pub)

Thanks, yeah I think the fence is unnecessary and would just be awkward really. I can't see any benefit.
Virtually every other garden office seems to have a fence next to/behind it, which is probably why I originally thought we'd put one there, but on reflection I guess that's because the fence is normally already there and is the boundary.

Looking for opinions on our garden redesign.

We have a small-ish garden, behind which is a large gravel parking area that we also own. Enough for probably 4 cars. So we're planning on extending the garden and putting in a garden office (v trendy right).

Images should show it - the red line will be roughly where the extended garden boundary will be, yellow is garden office location. Small blue car isn't normally there. We'll remove the existing fence & gate and move it back (about 5m).

Question is, do we need to put up a fence behind the new garden office (green dotted line)? We were planning to, but I'm not sure of the benefit - the back of the office will be a 2.1m wooden 'wall' so I feel like there's no reason to also have a fence behind it.

There's no boundary with neighbours - the parking area behind is our property...

Been closed for ages due to ash die back, there's been talk of reopening 'soon' but don't know when, I'm keen to return soon...
