This thread fills me with sadness as well as a weird sense of togetherness because its clear that all of us face some of harassment on the streets of London. Why are woman on bikes so sexualized? What is it about a woman on a bike that is considered so provocative and open for comments from men? I wasn't much of a rider before I went fixed but now that I cycle almost everywhere, I'm starting to dread pulling up next to a car full of men with the window down at a traffic light because I'm wondering what sleazy comment they're going to utter. Its horrible to feel this way, but there are women doing great things about this issue and one of them is this:

I love the 'eyes on the road' leggings, they seem so comfortable and not to mention to the point as well. This brand is created by a bunch of women that love cycling but were annoyed with everything they faced on the road (are they on here?!). We should totally support them :)

Is anyone here going for the Salad days screening in Dalston on Saturday? Here's the link: http://www.riocinema.ision.co.uk/specials.htm
Chronicling a decade of punk in Washington DC from 1980 to 1990, this is the definitive film about the scene that spawned Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Rites of Spring and Fugazi. This was a true DIY movement, driven by artists determined to sidestep the music industry. Henry Rollins, Thurston Moore and Ian MacKaye are just some of the notable contributors.

Ok, so this VegBar place does hot dogs from scratch (ikr!) and even though its slightly expensive, it seems worth it to me as I dont think any other place in London does hotdogs from scratch.
How about we start from Essential Vegan food truck+Just Fab Italian food truck (they are literally next to each other) in Shoreditch---> Vegbar Brixton--->Ms Cupcake Brixton--->Cookies&Scream Camden.
This way we start the day fueling up with the good stuff (burgers and hotdogs) and proceed onto lots of vegan cookies and cakes. Feel free to suggest a better idea/route- this has to be convenient for everyone involved, its only fair :)
Right now its:
@clockwork_killa (+ me)
@Oliver Schick
@Thrasher
@nickvonfiction (?)Once the route is confirmed then we can select a date best suited for us all.
I'm SO excited for hot dogs doe.

Yes, that's the one. When you come in there tomorrow or later this week, look out for an extremely short tattooed Indian girl - I'm usually the front of house anyway so you cant miss me. Do mention your forum name and I'll sort you out. Hopefully we'll have some in stock as we sell out pretty quick!

Hi Oliver, I'm @clockwork_killa's wife and I love that idea! There are so many vegan trucks around where we live (Shoreditch)- we went to this fully vegan Italian truck yesterday and it was pretty good. Also, Essential Vegan has a truck nearby too. Think burgers and chips and cake. I have not been to Vegbar in Brixton yet, apparently they do hotdogs from scratch (ikr?!!) and nachos etc. Worth a visit I think. Let us know if any of you are up for doing a vegan ride soon :)
