On gearing I second what others have said here, 11-32 is fine for all but the quickest riding in Kent, for me at least with 44 front.

Remember fixed gear! One gear can be enough it's just about speed n effort/efficiency. I think people worry about gearing more than necessary

Noticed recently that a wheel I have is built incorrectly (by the factory). Is it safe enough to ride like this, i.e not weaker than if they crossed correctly?

To clarify the issue, the outside spoke does not cross under the inner one at any point.

You mean the SR freehub body? I have one i could probably part with - do you have the ratchet pawls as they don't come with them, only the freehub body and bearings etc. maybe if you have sram you can take it out of that?

iirc someone in the deals thread tried a dt swiss that matched so maybe their pawls would work if not. dm me if of use

I'm lucky enough to already own one, but I have been wondering whether a 35 would fit as I do sometimes get pinch flats with the 32 I currently use. Some of the tracks around there go rocky and fast.
