I had a bit of a weird screen problem on my bolt after a few months, like a few lines of dead pixels. Returned to wiggle with no fuss and got a replacement which has been perfect. Also I asked how much of the bundle I needed to return and they said 'as much as you can' so I just sent back the head unit.

Cheers @Airhead - v helpful. I've got scaffolding up as we're getting the roof/loft done so I could be a bit more thorough with the stripping back, but there are a few spots at the ridge I can't reach easily. I've used the white satin Allcoat inside and been happy with it, will try to find the gloss black nearby.
The cobra is great, I'm almost looking forward to doing the front bay sashes. -
Ok then hive mind (calling @Airhead) I'll be stripping and repainting old wooden fascia boards soon and I'm torn between waterbased and oilbased gloss black paint. Is Bedec MSP magic, or is waterbased not as durable? I don't have the access for a full prime and top coat, so it will be a quick strip/sand/slap it on.
In other news I'm chuffed with the tarted up bathroom window.

Tom Brown, SK Plumbing & Heating (https://www.ratedpeople.com/profile/sk-plumbing-and-heating-1/) is my go-to plumber. He's done a few odd jobs for us over the last 5 years, nice guy and reliable.

@snottyotter must try harder to put off hipsters http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/property/selling-a-house-in-manchester-12790996
It does seem to be a challenge buying a house round these parts at the moment, very high demand compared to when we moved 5 years ago. Agree with @Heitzman though, a good place to live.

I installed a new Miche Primato square taper BB on an old frame and it's producing a click with every crank revolution, only under moderate/high load. I've checked through the more likely culprits on this list.
Removing the BB I noticed the NDS bearing is a fraction out of alignment with the spindle. I was hopeful that with sufficient torque the BB cup would help straighten it up (wishful thinking). Have I just got a dud BB?

Just did exactly this last week, vaillant combi with mechanical clock swapped out to hive. Plumber was doing a boiler service anyway so wired in the Hive receiver which bypasses the timer faceplate. He recommended it over the alternatives as it’s currently £135 at Screwfix. Does everything I’d need it to, the app is better than I expected tbh.
