I don't think it turns it into a brick. You just cannot take advantage of any updates. One of my iMacs (a 2012 model) is still running on a Power PC processor and OSX 10.6.8, which I think is Snow Leopard. It doesn't get used very much.

When I was about 12, we drove to Poland in my father's brand new Hillman Hunter. The advice was to remove the wiper blades if we parked up anywhere, as they would get nicked - not that they would fit any Polak motor.

I have a couple of the bags. There is no way that I would describe them as robust. They're not. (I bought two cos I'm expecting to tear one fairly readily) But in terms of them enabling me to store my bike in the office without putting any noses out of joint, they're ideal. I wouldn't dream of using the straps to lift the bag when it has a bike in it.
