I just use autoaid, it is the insurance type of cover rather than the aa rac we have actual vans model. I am covered for any vehicle I use and this includes the bike.
Trouble with bikes, when i last used a recovery service, years back, is that you end up waiting ages for someone who can actually physically lift the bike even if it is the AA as they are all geared for cars.(AA man tried to get me to load the bike on his van and then dented the fuel tank loading it). -

Yes ours is on legs so it was carried out and then put on a pallet and trollied / loader action it is indeed a ballache to move them.
Have you researched whether it actually needs to be moved out - can the motor be reached through the from ? I’ve done heating elements in ovens and that wasn’t too bad.(Not trying to teach you to suck eggs) -
Had a stove /range (1960s Stanley No8) refurbished and re-enameled a few years back, get someone else to move it is my tip, that or don’t bother.
In seriousness ours could break down a bit to reduce the weight - doors off, top off,etc but there’s still a fair old bulk. Ours also burns turf so there was no CORGI or sparks needed to disconnect it from a fuel source.
Do the people repairing it not offer collection?

Builder issues. House butting on to our brick shed had a load of work done. Builders clamber all over our brick built shed roof cracking numerous slates. They’ve replaced the obviously broken ones at the top but have ignored all the others they’ve cracked . Neighbour is trying to remedy things but builder reckons it’s all done and fixed now - fucker.

Well the wife rather than me. She has two, first is the steel one. This just has the one face and is a quartz (the man in the shop in Switzerland recommended that as “some women don’t like having to wind a watch” twenty five years ago) and she wears it virtually every day.
The second is a double faced reverse, the obverse is a dark face with diamonds along the top and bottom. This is a manual and used on high days only. Had a strap replacement, original didn’t last long due to the effects of hand cream so now has leather or alligator on it. Jlc straps aren’t cheap! -

I used to have a k1100rs for work when I was doing surveillance work for customs, great bikes and so much better than the k100. The mirror indicator pods had a habit of falling off in tight traffic so I had mine fitted with a cable so they would just dangle. You could ride it all day in comfort and still give it some stick when needed. Conversely I had a k1100lt as my own bike - fucking horrendous, nearly put me off bikes. On the boxers had a r1100rs on big rides one of the fastest bikes point to point. Comfortable and swift. My first big bike was a black and yellow r100gs really should not have sold that one.
