Bit of a catastrophic fail, probably a few forms to fill in and some extra training courses to attend.

Same old from IDF

Aid workers hit by IDF airstrike , “ Despite co-ordinating movements with the Israeli Defence Force, the convoy was hit as it was leaving its Deir al-Balah warehouse, after unloading more than 100 tonnes of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza by sea, WCK said.”

Yes I have!!
Actually the sportster (the older less plastic ones) are quite a good ride- I was shocked how ok it was. It’s fairly similar to my old Hinckley bonnie, good balance, steers ok and svelteish. It’s also quite comfy even at six foot plus and with all the added BMI recently , 260 miles in a day last week was fine. However with the bigger bikes I’d probably only countenance a road king (basically an unfaired electraglide style) , I can’t be doing with a lot of their stuff and that probably wouldn’t handle as well.

Strangely I have had 2005 883R for about three months now and I’m keeping it stock as possible (apart from the whitewalls I got stiffed with) despite reading the odd issue of BSH recently. I’m too old for a hardtail chopper.
I kinda only like fairly stock but unardorned HDs or completely custom stuff (usually fairly old skool looking). The middle ground of just firing the HD and screaming eagle parts gun at them can lead to quite nasty end results!!!

The weather is a bit of a pain, somewhat bizarrely I was in Kerry last week and actually had to fly back to do this trip so was out in it a couple of times last week - Wednesday night in Waterville was like being in a car wash.
Probably going to go direct route via cork to Kerry and then ride some of the minor roads over the next couple of weeks.
We have a house just in from the Ring (pretty much at the west side of Bealach Óisin) so know the ring and have cycled most of the lesser known gems around Iveragh. -
I had a varedero 1000 for a couple of years, I’d had a firestorm before and also had a varedero as a work bike before spending my own cash on one.
This was a few years back but I remember it as a good bike, comfortable for long days and a stompy engine. Had it completely flat out a few times and it was pretty stable and good handling. I recall it being quite tall (and I’m 6’1” ish). I don’t recall any issues with it and I only moved it on as I the Hinckley bonneville had come out and caught my eye. As I said the engine was used on the firestorm so any issues should be quite well publicised. -

Picked up the Harley from having rusty headers replaced this evening, very hot so eschewed jacket and nice easy ride home along the carnage that is Wandsworth Road. I never usually go down there, but the mechanic is on it (Ace motors - very good people) it’s shit, Clapham is shit and Wandsworth is shit. Knocked off while standing still in traffic by rear end of a fire engine turning right swinging round and clouting me. I was stationary in the straight on lane , as was he in the right turn lane then he moved off and bang. Fucking bit of a shock. Passers by helped me pick up bike and then off after firefighters. Broken clutch lever, indicator lens and rip on seat. Bruised arm and hip on me. Quite annoying and annoyed with myself too. Probably going to fuck my insurance big style. Not happy. First proper off in about thirty years.
And to cap it all get home to find an expensive new shirt has shrunk despite me hand washing it in barely lukewarm water - fucking bastard thing.
I have an EU passport and Mrs U doesn’t, always gives me a smile when she toddles off to the big queue - small Brexit bonus
