Thanks for the reply, not sure if this would fit (?) on the 90s 531 frame I've got...

If it did it might look pretty ridiculous but it's just a beater for winter I suppose.

Ideally I'd like to get my hands on some steel forks that would take a recessed style brake but if I don't have any luck I'll get back to you.

I bought an old beater for around town and badly bent the forks trying to free a seized stem ... -_-

The frame is an unbranded and lugged 531 frame from 1990, if anyone has anything that would suit for cheap that'd be great.

The head tube of the bike is 16cm long with the headset cups removed - not sure what size fork I need so if anyone can advise that would also be very helpful.
