Not that I know of. The NoYoke™ chainstays are quite neatly designed by Joachim and can stuff in a lot of rubber on 700c without issues. Downsizing to 650b doesn't really give you any wider options. So, unless you prefer it because of the wheel diameter or already got a nice wheelset, it doesn't make that much sense. We thought of building an XS frame for a friend of mine with it, but realized that even for her it made more sense with 700c.
@Johnnyw75 @jBola Cheers!

Haven't been out on the hardtail rig so far this year, only the gravel bike. Been a record long winter in Norway, but trails are drying up now.
If I get to it I would like to rebuild my rear wheel to a 27,5 to run 2.8 or 3" rubber. I do miss the old plushyness from the previous builds, so I think the mullet treatment will do the trick.
Other than that we had a photoshoot of the frames with a talented local photographer, and we do have frames in stock, so feel free to shoot me a message if interested.

Shorty's, Archetypes, the cockpit, the colour scheme... That's rad!
A couple of weeks back I was up in the shed I'm renting and got stranded by a car tinkering cockup. Eyed the Crux on the wall, found pedals for it, air in the tyres, oiled the chain and away I went. So good as always. I was planning on cleaning it up and sell it as it hasn't been used for three years, but I don't think I can.

Many moons ago when I was trying to be a fast cyclist I went to training camps down there, where I stayed at my mates setup http://www.sierranevada.cc in Velez de Benaudalla. Just wanted to chip in that the roads and climbs are absolutely stunning and very quiet in terms of traffic. You'll have a blast.

These are all great tips and very much appreciated! We'll get to work on a more detailed v2 of the route based on your comments. Feel free to fork out alternative routes too.
Is it easy enough to bring the bikes on the train or does it need to be booked in advance? and if we opt to skip the first leg from the airport, is Chester a good starting point?
We know that wild camping is not allowed. Are there enough campsites to rely on them on the go or should these be planned in advance?

Back in February 2020 my mate and I started planning a bikepacking trip in England and Wales only to have it thoroughly cancelled by Covid. Especially since we live in Oslo, Norway. After three summer bikepacking stints on home soil, the 2020-idea was brought back to life and we are now pretty much set on going to do what we started planning.
I was getting great input in the Mint Crux thread, and we started building something of a route based on the ideas from @platypus.
We've set aside eight days including travel the first week of July. Current plan is to fly direct to Manchester Sunday morning and get going right away. Through Wales and end up in London on Saturday, pack our bikes and fly back home on Sunday. Without any detailed research this is the current route: https://www.strava.com/routes/23822838
Would love to have input from you all. We're super excited about this, and for me personally it's a bit special going to ride in the land of LFGSS, that has been with me since the days of sick fixie skidz.
These are our previous trips.
2015: Copenhagen-Prague (Sjur, HP) (AWOL)
2016: California (HP) (AWOL)
2019: Gothenburg-Copenhagen (HP) (Crux)
2020: Norway, Otta-Oslo (HP, Sveinung) (Crux)
2021: Norway, Jotunheimen rundt (HP, Sveinung, Rune) (Stribe)
2022: Norway, Hardangervidda rundt (Sveinung, Rune) (Stribe) -
Hi!
I went to an 80 stem and iirc the handling was alright. I think too long in combination with a wide bar could get weird. A more upright position is natural with a flat bar anyway, and the wide bar will compensate by moving you a bit forward as your arms move away from you to the sides.
Get experimental with parts from the bin before ordering something expensive :)

Thanks, appreciate that. It's definitely the perseverance bit I'm most proud of with that project. It did cost a lot mentally. I've got enormous respect for people that churn out these restoration projects and builds. Very easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged by setbacks and the amount of work required.
The hardtail is getting some custom bags, and man do they look awesome. Made by the forums very own @Tijmen of course. Can't wait to get them.

It was pretty much put in the corner and robbed of its saddle after I built my Stribe Juno a year ago, so haven't ridden it since.
My plan for the Crux is to set it up with the old tubular race wheels and take it for a spin on the odd days when I want a zippy bike for shorter rides. I've even bought a new saddle for it. I'll probably keep it forever so I can point at it when I'm 80 and lie about my race results.

Trip is approaching fast! Been checking out all the tips, but haven't worked on the final route yet. I'll post it once we get it done.
Does anyone know of a bikeshop in London where we could "book" four empty bike boxes? We will roll in on July 8th (Saturday).
