I'm lucky enough to wait for a new frame. It is a lovely Philippe Andouard in Columbus Spirit HSS, made for Paris Brest Paris few years ago. If it's in someone's interest I can create a topic about the build.

Velogical are noisy and need a good amount of setup. Why not get an AA rear light and a front dynamo like you mentionned ? Whats wrong with it ? And if you find it boring to think about your rear light, you could always add a rear light somewhere with co-axial connectors.

i'm a bit embarassed because I broke my lovely steel tourer yersteday in a crash. Components and finishing kit are ok, but not the frame and fork. I've got a pair of silver open proin my bin so I could rebuild it.
I would love to replace it with a classic, steel brevet bike. Something like this:

few needs:

• a-head 1 1/8
  
• rim brake and steel, preferably.
  
• of course, 25/ 28 mm tyre + room for fenders.
  
  • not too expensive (200/300£ max)
    
• a buyer that can post to France.
  
  

Something like a Spa Cycles, a Surly, an All City, a Thorn, a Genesis equilibrium, a dolan... whatever the brand.
